Caturday Art

Welcome to  Caturday art hosted by Athena
See more Caturday Cat Art HERE.

On March 22 the below photo was posted...OMCS
my two Sheltie friend Benji and Lassie noticed something that mom
had not even noticed.
This was their comment on March 22:

The top sunpuddle picture looks like an outline of a cat's head looking to the left. We thought it was a very creative picture. Madi sat in a sunpuddle that looked like a cat.

So today we are posting the photo again.
Put on your cre8tive glasses so you can see this very happy accidental
Caturday Art.  Can you seen the nose, ears and neck?

Thank you Benji and Lassie you are to very observant K9's
Hugs madi your bfff

Sweet Shopping:Bacon and Da Phenny and Fill ins

Today we are joining Da Phenny and Bacon for Shopping/cooking and sharing around the world
We are sharing a recipe we received from our Friend Aunty Mona.
OMCs I didn't eat it let me just tell you the peeps Ahhhhhhh'd and Ohhhhhhhh'd
and smacked their lips.  The wonderful thing about this
recipe is all the ingredients are normally in one's pantry/fridge so you can whip it up
lickety split.  We love learning new things too and OMCS this recipe called for a cooking dish
mom didn't have....ramekin dish!! Don't you just love that word..

Delicious Baked Fudge
Pioneer Woman cook book
Sent by Aunty Mona
PREP TIME:  10 Minutes
DIFFICULTY:  Easy
COOK TIME:  50 Minutes
SERVINGS:  4 Servings

§  2 whole Eggs
§  1 cup Sugar
§  2 Tablespoons (heaping) Cocoa
§  2 Tablespoons Flour
§  1/2 cup Butter, Melted
§  1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preheat oven to 300 to 325 degrees. (mom cooked it at 325)

Beat eggs until light in color. Beat in sugar until just combined. Add cocoa, flour, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix gently until well combined.

Pour batter into four large ramekins or one 8-inch square baking dish. Set ramekins or pan into a larger pan halfway full of water.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes, or until upper crust is crispy and the rest of the batter is firm but not set. Toothpick should come out…not clean, but mixture should not be overly runny. If you pull it out of the oven and have second thoughts, stick it back in for ten more minutes.  (It took 50 minutes in my oven)

Serve with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream; whatever makes your skirt fly up.

Here is a pic of the fudge sitting in a pan of water while baking in our oven!!

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday.

 Today we join
Angel Sammy and brudder Teddy
at Sammy's Poetry Corner

P

 Paws and Pads

Mom loves my paws
In spite of the claws.
She says my paws are just right
they are all white except for one on
the back right.
It has a speck of dark gray on top.
Sometimes I let her massage my pads
Sometimes I have to holler ENOUGH, stop!
They are soft  and pink
But they don't stink this makes Mom glad.
Every night at about nine ten
 I come into the den,
I sashay up to mom who is often napping.
I stand on my back paws while reaching up
with my front paws and no claws,
I am ever so gentle when I touch her arm.
She says my timing is purrfect I'm her alarm.
Sometimes not often I let her carry me like a baby.
We lock eyes and do the blinky blinky to one another
With my soft pads, I touch the cheek of  Mother
to let her know I love her like no other.

Kai is mad because I will not chase him!!!

Update on Kai...he is growing like a Labra-weed, digging holes like a Labra-shovel,
and experimenting with new cuisines like socks and baseboards stuff  just like 100% Labrador.

Blogville Spring Break at the Park

Mom and I will be hosting our portion of Spring  Break from a local
Amusement park.

Okay I might as well tell you my mom is obsessed with Grease the Movie!

She has seen Grease 87 x 1,000,000 times.
She loves every minute of it.   However, she loves the
last scene of the Rydell High School Seniors at the carnival.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYK5jBEUWJk

It is exactly what the party in her head sees for our Blogville Spring Break Road trip to

There are all kinds of rides and fun things to do at Pullen Park.

Here is a sneak peep eye of the 'round round.. that is what my human sis
used to call the Merry go Round or Carousel

As you can see from the below plaque it has been there for a long time.
About 5 years ago the park was closed for a total renovation. They did
a beautiful job.

We hope you will enjoy a day at Pullen Park with us during Spring Break.

If you would like to attend this fun event send us a good
picture of you either standing or sitting via email to

Please put Park in subjet line

Tuesday Tales from Mom's Past will resume next week.
Oh and the parental units bought computer, 25" monitor, wireless key board and mouse.
The 'puter they wanted had to be ordered.  It will arrive on 4/7/17.  At that time they will make
an appointment for the Geek Squad to come to the house to set things up.
We'll let you know when that is cause we'll be off line for probably a day.

BREAKING BREAKING BREAKING NEWS

TODAY, MARCH 27, 2017...THE PARENTAL UNITS aka
MOM AND DAD are going to buy a new computer.
Since 2013 they have been using Angel PaPa's puter.  It was about 4 years old then.
Geek Squad worked it over good in 2013.
In 2015 mom had Geek Squad come out to give it a once over and clean up stuff.
At that time the geeks told mom it had about 2 more years life in it.
So............before it goes postal on them they decided to get a new one.
Once it has been selected they will have the geeks come over and switch all our stuffs
from the old one to the new one.  Mom sure does hope the learning curve isn't too deeeeeep
'cause we want to tell everyone about the event we are hosting for
Blogville Spring Break extravaganza.

SSoS*

1. *Strange Stuff on Sunday

I don't know what a sciatica is but if I have one I hope it doesn't scream at me!!
Mom says this chair is da bomb.  It is a WorkPro 1000 had all kinds of adjustments.

2.  As you might recall SIS  and BIL spent Friday night with us and 1/2 of Saturday!!
I am pleased to report I didn't hissy at sissy AT ALL!!
I even sniffed SISSY's hand.  They came here via another city rather than directly  from their home.
Mom thinks maybe there wasn't too much smell of my niece and nephew, Mia and Frisco.
