Caturday Art from a Gallery

MOM PROFUSELY APOLOGIZES FOR POSTING THIS ON TUESDAY, for  nanosecond!! SHE IS A GOOF BALL AND A SCREW UP AND SHE BEGS FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS AND

SINCERELY MADI THE ONLY ONE WITH A BRAIN

*************************************************************

Welcome to  Caturday art hosted by Athena
See more Caturday Cat Art HERE.

Mom and Dad took a
Road Trip on Tuesday 11/14/17
They had been  wanting to go for several days but kept waiting for a bright
sunny morning so they could enjoy the leaves along Highway 50 to
Cedar Creek Gallery in Creedmoor, NC. However, each day was dreary with no sun until
late afternoon if at all.

It was a dreary and cold morning the Gallery had a roaring fire started
Look at that beautiful brickwork and all the pottery

Adorable and unique critter clocks

There is an atrium in the middle of the gallery where bamboo grows like a weed too

Here are some real works of art they saw while browsing.
Mom would have loved to have each of these adorable statues
Armored Pig Bank...that was too funny

They were getting ready for their Christmas open house which is Today

Look at all the beautiful glass blown ornaments

BUT the main reason the peeps too this trip was for the pumpkins.
Mid October there was a huge pumpkin show.  The peeps wanted to go but they
couldn't get there.  We are a pumpkin lovin' family.
Thank goodness some of the glass pumpkins were still for sale

This one now lives at our house!!

Mol when Mom downloaded the photos she noticed she took a selfie

A good time was had by the peeps and good news is they got home well with time to
feed this Diva her 3rd mini breakfast of the day

Berry Flower Friday and a Freaky Friend

We got nuttin' blooming here at Madi Manor but mom did find some berry purrty
berries and two purple posies for Rosy's Flower Friday.

Before mom retired from Physics she rec'd this crazy bird at a gift exchange.
It is a physics toy. You put a bowl of water in front of him, give him an itty bitty

kitty whap upside his plastic head tap.
Eventually his keeps moving forward until he goes beak first into the water.
Physicists are a fun bunch for sure

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Angel Sammy and brudder Teddy

Today's 4 word challenges are
window, wink, worry wiggle

Today's Poem title is
From my Window
subtitle: You birds better be glad I'm a house cat
by Madison D. Cat

From my window I spy
birds galore and chippers.
And of course the nasty squirrels who destroy Dad's
planters and make him cry.
Often to my surprise and glee my friend the red
Cardinal wink(s) at me as he chows down on sunflower
seeds and suet without a worry.
Me thinks he might not realize a fierce cat I be.
The tiny chickadee is quick to take seed in a flurry.
The chippers are by far the best at scurrying.
The robin and his misses on the ground do roam.
They hop and skip about, their single mission is to quickly find
a worm that wiggles to take home.

Wordless Wednesday and Pantry caper

Note from Mom
Yesterday I mentioned  someone being in solitary confinement in the Pantry...
Madi told me to tell you why but I didn't so here is the rest of the story.
Since I was not a part of the event, Madi will tell you:

One night last week, Dad got up about 11:30 pm because someone had a nice hairball.
He went to the kitchen for a towel...the moi producer of said hairball might have followed him into the kitchen.  (He was not wearing his glasses) He opened the pantry to throw the evidence away and says  Moi must have slipped in the pantry. I was there until 6 am the next day..............YEP....and evidently happy a clam because I didn't make a sound until I heard the peeps get up. Then I raised the roof.  And might I add no accidents in the pantry.  Mom thinks I must have slept in the paper recycle bin.

Tuesday Tale

First of all a round of aPAWs for the gorgeous photo of the leaves and blue sky!!
Dad took this on 11/10/17.  He rarely takes photos but he does have a very artsy eye for what makes a good photo!!

**********************************

Secondly...mom came into the master bath on 11/11/17...she saw me HERE!!
You will not believe what she asked me, I quote
"Madi are you a K9"?
I  replied ignored her, "What is the big deal, I'm all huddle in front of the heating vent."
Well the answer is this is a new habit of mine.
Evidently the only family pet to ever do this was Toto the might mini Dachshund

She says Milky-Way the feline BM (Before Madi) never did this.
I reminded her that she is in uncharted waters with me.
I'm the oldest kitty to live here E V E R!  Not to mention this is a might plush and comfy
rug.  If I'm to be truthful, I have acquired some new habits of late.  Not sure why but
it is fun to blow the mind mind of mom every so often?
I recently spent way too much time in solitary confinement in the pantry.
There are NO photos...but there was lots of audio.  Just sayin'

Monday Mews 4 in November

The first 2 require some thinking so lets do those first

1.
We are pawticipating in YAM-Aunty's first ever
Final Friday fiction challenge is Friday, November 24.
Here are the details
  1. Take a favourite book and go to page 87; take a section from lines 8, 12 and 16.
  2. using those phrases as a prompt, build a story around them. It can be either prose or poetry. The phrases do not have to appear in your tale in the same order as they were extracted from the origin text; but they ought to remain 'intact' so that they can be recognised upon reading them. (see point 4)
  3. Try to keep it to not more than 500 words but at least 150.
  4. Note the source text, it's author, and the actual phrases taken at the top of the post.
  5. Schedule the post and prepare to link up to the bloghop - again I will be quite strict; only those who have properly entered a fiction post and who place a link-back to this blog will be kept on the hop.
  6. As an added incentive, YAM will select one which she feels has extra merit and a special badge will be awarded to place on your sidebar.
For all participants - and for those who are willing to promote this bloghop - please take this badge and place a link to this page so that participants can always pop back to read the 'what, where and when'. Happy writing efurrybuddy!!!

Put on your thinking caps. Right NOW!!!
Mom went to page 87 of the book she is reading
and then copied down the lines as instructed. OMCs this is gonna be a
fun story.

TOGM finished our story last week.  Put on your thinking caps and get those
fingers stroking the keypad.  Our story is coming from this book
