Caturday Art from Downunder

Last Friday I posted this photo

SHE* the two legged lady-in-waiting  of
Bella, Dui and Roxy from Daisy Downunder
left this comment

Actually that last photo resembles Bella, who needs her ears trimmed, looking in the window waiting for me to open the door. Can you see it?

We both looked and looked.  Neither of us saw it.
Since SHE, recently had cataract surgery and now has bionic eyes,
I suggested that maybe I needed eye surgery.

Then SHE sent an email saying "Okay it is abstract art" and attached this photo.

SHE is quite creative.
Presenting Abstract Bella

Of course I can now see it in the original as clear as day!!

Nature Friday....Bearly

First and foremost Happy Happy Happy Birthday
to my little niece RosySassyPants!!!💋💝
Hugs
Aunty HiC

Nature Friday is hosted by my Niece Rosy and her brudders, Arty and Jakey

Mom of Kat wants to make sure everyone knows:

We bring in feeders every night, and every time we both leave house  during the day.

Dearest Aunty HiC,
As I mentioned last week BooBoo the Bear stole Mom's suet cage full of suet.
Well, BooBoo must have enjoyed the suet because he returned for seconds today. Mom enjoyed watching him, before she told him to scoot. She would  love to offer him an apple, but it becomes dangerous for all involved when bears consider people as food sources. We’re happy to coexist, respect with our wildlife.

❤️ Kat Your Feline Nephew

Yo Lady that suet was so delicious I came back for seconds!!

Dearest Nephew,
Oh my BooBoo is quite brazen to come a callin' in daylight. I bet your mom used her very stern 'teacher' voice when she told him to scoot!!
Nope don't want him getting comfortable on your hill.  Maybe he will find a girlfriend SOON!!
Lovingly your Aunty HiC

Also please notice the new split rail fence that Dad of Kat just finished, pic #1.
Kat said the bear was nice enough not walk on it he ducked under it.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Here is our photo challenge
which inspired me to write two poems.

#1 Reminded me of an incident with my daughter when she was
about this age.

Curl
There was a little girl
who had a curl right in the
middle of her forehead.
She had a special plate just
for her. It was quite fancy for
way back then.
Smack in the middle of the bottom
it had a suction cup to prevent sliding.
She was a gleeful child.  Sometimes
she got so happy chaos happened.
Once while eating she was waving her arms
up and down.
Much to my surprise, she hit the edge of the
plate with her hand.
Food went everywhere including her curl
right in the middle of her noggin.
She opened her eyes, and was surprised
her food all over the place
and in her eyes.

#2  Just looks like what my daughter might have been thinking

How did that happen? What...do you mean it doesn't go there?
It is not a hat
Frankly I don't care.
Wearing my food is more fun
that way I don't have to share.

FYI:
I have a very special lunch date today.
I might be MIA for a while but no worries I have my camera
Hugs Cecilia

Wordy Wednesday: Pup and Kat

Hosted by Comedy Plus

Dearest Aunty HiC
Pup certainly appreciates all the sympathetic comments yesterday.  Mom had to go back to vet for a refill of his allergy meds. Pup was happy to just go for the ride, no treatment today!
😹

Mom finally picked a ripe homegrown tomato this morning.

She and Dad shared a tuna and sliced tomato sandwich for lunch.

I enjoyed my tuna in a saucer. Excuse my bad manners. Yummy!
❤️ Kat Your Feline Nephew

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh my Cats Kat!
That is a gorgeous 'mater!  I love tuna salad and it must be super duper yummy with a fresh 'mater.

Angel Madi loved her some tuna and salmon too!!
You look like you can hardly believe you are not dreaming but really eating.

Pup you are Prince of your world.  Thank goodness no more tush torture.
Lovingly Aunty HiC

Kat tells a Dog Tail Tale!!

Tuesday Dog Tale Tail
Hosted by Comedy Plus

Dearest Aunty HiC
Mom and I enjoyed reading our bloggie Furiends comments about  my garden adventure. Wish they could all come visit. 😻
Poor Pup had to go to VET. Apparently he’s suffering from seasonal allergies and irritated anal glands! 🙀

I won’t tell you what they did to him, but I am happy to report he’s feeling much better.

❤️ Kat Your Feline Nephew

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Dearest Nephew...
I know exactly what they did to him.  My first grandcat,Cali, had a terrible case of anal gland misery her entire life.  The Vet offer to show Mom of Cali (MOC)how to express the anal glands but MOC said somethings in life are worth paying for and THIS is one of them.    Please give Pup my sincere Aunty Sympathy and tell him Uncle B has allergies so he sends his sympathy for that.
Give that pup some healing kitty kat kisses
Lovingly your Aunty HiC

Awww Monday: Tail of two Trails

Hosted by Comedy Plus

On Thursday, July 11, I teased you with these two photos from our Trek up
the Treacherous trail leading to the top of Hanging rock:

Da Phenny and Da Nelly asked me
If People had really died on the trails

YES my Handsome Weimaraner Friends!!

Yes indeed people have died on that trail...mostly due to stupidity.
Most recently an idiot taking a selfie backed off the top of Hanging Rock.  This has happened several times.  Also people who hardly walk to their mailbox decide it is a good idea to hike. We think the sign was put up to clear them any liability because the park has no way of monitoring one’s mentality or judgement.

Now here is the rest of the story.

This is the beginning of the trek after the 1st warning sign
2nd warning sign one of the 3 flat areas
Yes there are steps but one's stride needs to be about 3' in length
to far apart.  There was one mile marker on the trail after the beginning.
It was just before this set of stairs.  It advised all who were still upright
they had .8 miles to go.
We were quite encouraged thinking our destination was just around the bend.
It was NOT, if possible, the trail ahead was steeper and rockier

Just beyond where you see the end of the steps, I told my husband I was not going any farther.
Honestly I was starting to worry about getting back down.
He said we've come this far????!!! I hate not to keep going.

Edge of  Hanging Rock  from the ground

Back side of Hanging Rock
I did not get many pictures.  I needed both hands to steady myself.
I took photos from each of the flat surfaces.
Same path down no climbing but keeping my footing on the  boulders, loose rocks and dirt trails
Became a concern , it was hard to control your speed going down.
Finally he made it back down to where I was waiting.
He estimated he climbed about 10 more minutes straight up.
As we carefully walked down, he admitted  going all the way was the 1st 'stupid' thing he did,
2nd being he forgot to take the camera to the top, but then I forgot to ask him if he wanted it.
Turns out there was lots shrubs, overgrowth and thickets.  He could not see anything but
rock.  We are thinking maybe the park service let it become overgrown to keep
idiots from walking to the edge.
Total miles up and back 2.6 miles

Next two images are from Google

Upper Cascade Falls .6 mile both ways

Trail head began on the other side of the road.

The only rocky surface

At the end of the deck is another set of steps down to the falls.

I was a little surprised access to the rocks was allowed.
Upper Cascade is one of ~12 waterfalls in the park

The white flowers you see are Rhododendron
