Thursday Theme Song: featuring Mr. Alan Jackson

Mom and I thank Hootin Anni for sponsoring

.
Today's featured song is Let it be Christmas.  He wrote both the lyrics and music about two years ago.
It is one of Mom's absolute favorite Chritmas songs and she predicts it will be a classic such beautiful words and music.  About half way through the video, Mr. Jackson's wife (in red dress) and 3 daughters join him on stage followed by a large children's choir.  We have the video posted first so you can play it whill looking at the picutres.  We hope you enjoy it.

Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the hearts of all people both near and a far
Christmas everywhere
Feel the love of the season wherever you are
On the small country roads lined with green mistletoe
Big city streets where a thousand lights glow.
Let it be Christmas every where
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let it be Christmas everywhere
With the gold and the silver the green and the red
In the smiles of all the children asleep in their beds
In the eyes of young babies their first fallen snow
Elderlys' memories that never grow old

Watch the box lid closely in the next two pictures....
Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the songs that we sing and the gifts that we bring
Christmas everywhere

In what this day means and what we believe
From the sandy white beaches where the blue water rolls
Snow covered mountains and valleys below
Let it be Christmas everywhere. If you look closely, you'll see lots of mini Moms reflected in the bulbs. MOL
Today's pictures were taken in Cameron Village Shopping Center and Crabtree Valley Mall

Thank you for visiting today.

Christmas Exchange 2011 from Tessa

First of all Mom and I would like to thank
Jazzi and Addy's Mom, Ms. D, for organizing the 3rd Annual
Puppy and Kitty Christmas Exchange.
My name was 'drawn' by the lovely Miss Tessa the cutest
teeny tiny Maltese lady.  Tessa and her Mom ventured over to the 'dark side of the pet store to do some
feline shopping and boy did they do a fine job.  Grab your favorite beverage and snackable and relax while I show you what the sent me!!

The first thing I saw when Mom
opened my box was this most adorable card from Tessa...
look at that little girl running in the snow and her happy ears
flying in the wind...

I immediately had to give this package a Madi sniff of approval.
As you can see from my happy question mark tail, I wholeheartedly approved!!
As soon as Mom let me take possession of MY package,
I had to mark it as mine.  Oh my did I smell something good
in there (movie at the end showing my glee).
There were 3 individually wrapped pressies in a zip lock bag
to keep the dry and safe as they traveled from the West Coast of the USA to the East Coast of the USA
I waited impatiently while Mom SLOWLY put my dish down so that I could sample my snackables.  You might note from my
expression below, I'm giving her a stinky eye look that says
I want it NOW!!

THANK YOU A TON TESSA FOR THIS MOST WONDERFUL CATNIP SARDINE
UNDER MY NOSE, MY DA'FUR THING AT MY LEFT PAW AND MY
SNACKABLES in my tummy!!
OMC/OMD I don't think I've ever smelled anything as wonderful as this
catnip sardine toy.  I played with it so much it was absolutely soaked with cat slobber. Mom had to
hold it by the tag...while saying oh my word Madi your spit is all over it.  MOL
Shortly after this movie was made my Dad found me sitting in this very spot with my head resting
on my catnip sardine.  I think I was in a catnip coma.  You might notice in one of the slides below my eyes are really big too.  Tessa this is the best catnip toy I've had in a long time.  It must be
very high quality premium CAT-NIP

PLEASE CLICK ON THIS SHORT MOVIE OF ME ENJOYING THIS MOST AROMATIC PRESENT

This time of year....

Means the white lazy boy recliner gets moved into the dining room...right smack dab in the middle
of the best sunpuddles.  Happy Days are here again.  This is my 10th Christmas and I've learned the best place to snoopervise the peeps as put our tree in the place where the chair normally sits.
So I did a lot of this

While they DID A lot of this...The tree has lights on it and as Mom says each year
thank goodness they all work.  MOL  Mom and Dad spent 2.5 hours putting the tree up,
and decorating it...then cleaning up all the boxes.  We didn't do much blog visiting today
and you can blame the tall green thing for that.
While they decorated and re-decorated and discuseed placements, I got bored.  Finally I decided to do some sunpuddle surfing.
Finally I heard a collective...IT IS DONE...from the peeps so I headed over to
give it the Madi seal of approval!!
I must say once again the peeps did a fine job with very little snoopervision from me!!
WELL DONE!!  Now Mom get cracking and wrap some more packages...that are
to ME!!
Before long, Mom we'll probably have a photo shoot under the tree.  I love sitting on this very lovely tree skirt that my G-grandpeep crocheted many years ago.  Every year Mom quietly says...Madi is very good with the tree...she never bothers it. So paws crossed she says that again this year.
Hugs Madi

Several of you sharped eyed folks spotted Mom's hand reflection in the picture!!
Your prize is a great big.....
WELL DONE!!

EASY LIKE SUNDAY AND STEEPLES

Happy Sunday to you all....I know, I know I hear you all saying..Madi we've seen this picture..
well you haven't seen this exact picture...but you've seen this exact CHAIR but the pic is new.
This chair is my utmost fav spot to sleep from about Noon until 4 pm every single day.
Today Mom wants to show you some lovely steeple pictures she took on a recent road trip from Raleigh to Kinston, NC along Hwy 70 East.  She apologizes for not having any info on them but they were
all taken from the moving car and sometimes she could not see the name of the church.

This one is her favorite because she loves how prominent the white steeple shows on the red roof.
In case anyone wants to buy her something, RED is her favorite color!!  Just sayin'

Notice the jet streams above the steeple in this one.  This was probably taken around Goldsboro, NC where Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is located.  The jets are taking off all the time and often
shake the rafters in surrounding buildings.  Dad was eating at Wilbur's BBQ cafe once when a
jet flew over the cafe..things on the table moved. MOL

Ok...you get a brownie point, to be used at a later date, if you tell us what you notice about this picture...
well other than the fact that Mom cut off the top of the church steeple...MOL  Look closely!!

The steeple is a bit far off but Mom liked the way the clouds were moving about.  First the sky was completely clear then the clouds moved in suddenly

Another taken in Goldsboro...you see the jet stream on the left side of the picture
Two pretty white steeples accented by the gorgeous blue skies.

Mom loves the white steeples on the brick churches.  This is a particularly tall steeple for the size of the church

Thank you for taking time to visit with us today
Hugs
Madi
