I'll make this short about my experience cricket hunting

Way back 53 years when Marlu was an itty bitty infant, I had just gotten her back to sleep from a 2 am feeding.   I get in bed and lo and behold Jimny Cricket starts singing...and it was loud. I quietly tip toed around trying to find it...finally found the sound most likely coming from the linen closet which was across from Marlu's room. Those things jump and knew actually slaying it was not going happen. So I got a jar in hopes of trapping it til morning. Well of course it jumped out of the linen closet heading toward Marlu's room. I am on all fours chasing that dag blasted cricket with the jar which was was making a thump thump on the carpet. My tushie is facing our bedroom,

the thump thump woke Bryan up he is giggling 'cause he knows what I'm doing. Thankful dang cricket was trapped, Marlu did not wake up and that is my hunting story...

Feline Friday

Nature Friday 

When it comes to all things creepy and crawly things, I Madison D. Cat, am a great hunter 

I will hunt and hunt all the day/night long. HOWEVER, ONCE I HAVE LOCATED SAID CREEPY CRAWLY BUG, I have done my job.  I always YES always, 

holler to the top of my lungs...Mom come and get it while giggling, 'cause I know Mom hates bugs, and Mom would have then hollered to the top of her lungs for Dad neither of us ladies do B U G S.

As you can see from the below info on crickets domestic cats often eat crickets. I can assure a Madison D. Cat would never ever NO never stoop so low as to eat a cricket.

Why do crickets make noise at night?

In most cricket species, the males chirp to attract a female. And they mostly sing at night to help avoid predators. But Karim Vahed says some studies have shown that predators like domestic house cats follow the chirps of the crickets to find and eat them!
