Nature and Furry Friday

Hosted by my Niece Rosy, and her 2 brudders Arty and Jakey HERE

Right out my front door

L: one of our Harry Girrad Azaleas just starting to bloom
R: the reddish plant is a Huechera (I just learned the name last weekend while browsing through Logan's Nursery).  It is also known as Coral Bell.
We have had this potted ivy and Huechera
for over a year.  Just when we thought the Huechera was about 'done'
it was moved from the back porch to the front.  It obviously loves
this location. Since the move it keeps sprouting new shoots

We have 3 dogwoods 2 beside the drive way
left top zooming in on their beauty
right top our neighbor's amazing Azaleas.  He does absolutely no yard work.  About once a month he will cut his weeds causing a dust storm. Obviously he has discovered the secret to Azaleas.
bottom left Dogwood with redbud peeping through.
bottom right close up of our new daffie with the orange throat.  This is it's last picture before it starts to fad

All these pretty blooms come with one disadvantage
Mother Nature dumps her yellow dandruff everywhere.

Our Pollen Mobiles
Everything outside is covered in the
evil yellow dust: porches, driveway,
and it comes in on our feet!!

Good news is on Monday night we had a gully washer...it rained sideways and  the
wind blew.  Got rid of a lot of pollen.
Rain water came rushing down the street the gutters looked like mini rivers, about 1.4" of rain
in just a few hours.

Below photo shows.  You see the area around our recycle bin  flooded.
Where the yellow thumb is pointing is where we roll our huge green house trash  can for pick up
It rained so hard the force of the rushing water pushed the full huge can about 25' down from there.

Furry
Kat might be little but he is mighty...has total control over his K9 sibs
All 4 of these beautiful furries are rescues....they are coexisting.
I think they all somehow realize they were formerly homeless now they are
in the lap of luxury

2 Thoroughly Poems and Thankful Thursday

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is today's pictorial inspiration

This is a true story!!

Six
by little Me

When I was six,
I went to visit my cousins out in the stick(s).
I wanted to ride like the wind on my bike
without restrictions I had in my city life.
Cousin Mike was just a wee tike
and Ricky was wee(er)
They had a new pet they wanted me to see.
It was a Shetland pony whose name escapes me to this day.
So up on the wee Pony I was placed,
Uncle Ben gave me the reins told me to hold tight.
He said, giddy up, and quicker than a New York second
Pony ran under a tree he was not used to big girl.
Luckily he was vertically challenged so no harm came to me.
From that day forward, I knew
straddling a saddle was not to be.

Fourteen
by Angel Madi

My guy Raz always surprised me!
One day he asked, "Madi  do you want to go for a ride?"
I squealed with glee....
Yes, what Night?
Are your new wheels Red?
To which he replied "you'll have to wait and see".
Lo and behold he showed up at my door
with a rose and Donkey Smoke
who was wearing a fedora.
Now that was a sight.
Smoke was covered in hearts which made my
itty bitty kitty heart purr with delight.
On Smoke's back we rode 'round and 'round
my feets never touching the ground.

I am also joining Brian and family for

I am thankful!!!!

I'll be MIA after about 3 pm today.  Two of our favorite young folks, our daughter and son-in-law,
aka Angel Madi's Sissy and BIL, are coming up tonight for a short visit.
I'll catch up with you all  on Friday.

WooderFUL News on Kat and Pup

It is with glee and jubilation I share the latest email and photos from
Kat

Dearest Aunty HiC,
I’m so happy all the bloggie peeps like my furr-ocious video on Monday.
I’ve decided Pup is really a cool doggie, and we’re getting along just fine, as long as he remembers I’m the BOSS!

He now has his own bed in master bedroom, but we like to hang out together on guest bed. He even licks my furs! Yep, I’m training him well.

Love you!

Awww Monday Cat/Dog Tale

Today I am pawticipating in
Click here to see more adorable Awww

Dearest Aunty HiC,
As you’ve heard, I have new fur-bro of the canine purr-suasion.

I let him know today,  I am the new King on the Hill, and not ready to concede my privileged position. Mom said I hissed like I was possessed!!   I think he got the message. 😹
Here is the rest of the story:

About 10 days ago, my peeps saw this precious pup wandering on the road, they opened the car door
he jumped in the car.
These two photos were taken just after my Peeps came home with  Pup and set him up in the garage
He had a mark on his neck where there might have been a collar that was too tight.

Mom gave him a new red collar

They fixed him a bed in the garage. Called the Animal shelter and posted his picture on FB.
She introduced him to my Senior K9 sibs Buddy the Black Lab and Dakota the Golden Retriever.
You know how K9's are they love EVERYONE

Below is  a video of me letting him know he might be a Newbie but I'm in Charge.

Click on the YouTube link below and turn up your volume.  The video is about 25 seconds long
and kinda funny.  I was inside Pup was on the deck.

Introducing Pup,  the peeps are purtty sure he is 99.9% Yellow Lab
Which is kinda ironic 'cause Sassy their Yellow Lab went to the rainbow bridge
last fall.

Mom gave him bath and he was super duper happy.

Before and After his bath

This photo was taken shortly after his bath.
Dakota really likes him....I will eventually but he needs to calm down a bit
he is very much in your face.

So dear friends I appears I might be having to share some of my limelight with
Pup!!!

Pawnote: Pup had a microchip; however,  this  is a story of a furever home so I won't go into the deadbeat details...

Suffice it to say Pup Now is in his FUREVER HOME never more to roam
