Mom's favorite ornaments

Mom wanted to show you are few of her very favorite ornaments.
(never fear Madi is below)

The bride's ornament was given to Mom at her wedding shower  in December 1969.
It is on the tree every year...
This wasn't really a Christmas ornament.  It was on a baby shower
gift Mom received in 1971 just before the first family 'DIVA' was born. That is correct I'm not the first DIVA
It is also on our tree every year
Mom says this isn't really an ornament...but she caught me
in the 'act'!! So of course it has been documented!!!
Is this for me Mom?

I bet it is a new Diva throne

What it isn't for me????
It is for my sis and her hubby....What is it???
I
Well fine I'll just sit here until the cows come home
Forget the cows, I have a better idea.
I think I'll turn on my laser eyes...maybe I can see what is
in the box!!!

Thursday Theme Song: Mom's favorite......

Mom and I thank Hootin' Anni for hosting today's Thursday Theme Song.

Today's song, is Mom's absolute 100% Favorite (non-Carol) Christmas Song.

We were going to feature it later this month but LO and BEHOLD we had Snow in Dixie on
December 4, 2010. Which is nearly unheard of around our parts. We heard that this system
came to us from Minnesota...Thanks Remington for sending it!!!
This picture was taken from our front porch and we are thrilled to have it to go along with our song
Christmas in Dixie,
Written and sung by the boys from Alabama
Teddy Gentry, Randy Owen, Jeff Cook and Mark Herndon

By now in New York City
There's snow on the ground
And out in California
The sunshine is falling down,
And maybe down in Memphis, Graceland's all in lights
And in Atlanta, Georgia, there's peace on earth tonight
Christmas in Dixie, its snowing in the pines
Merry Christmas from Dixie to everyone tonight
It's windy in Chicago
The kids are out of school,
There's magic in Motown
The city's on the move.
In Jackson, Mississipppi to Charlotte, Caroline
And all across the NATION, it is a peaceful Christmas time,
Christmas in Dixie, its snowing in the pines.
Merry Christmas from Dixie to everyone tonight
And from Fort Payne, Alabama......Merry Christmas tonight

Now if you want to hear some beautiful music and vocals, please play this video to hear Alabama sing this like nobody else can!!!

Moms you gotta love'em

I'm sorry Mom, I don't understand your fascination with the white cold stuff...when you could be rubbing my warm white belly.
Actually I'm pleased as punch with the snow picutres taken at night....
Absolutely luck...I'm still in my infancy in photography skill!!!

Sunday Spot(s)

The above spots were 100% unexpected in NC...holy mackrel we got snow on Saturday...it was supposed to possibly be a flake or two after dark with no accumulation.  It started at 2 and was still snowing at 5.  Now we expect 1".  Our ground is too warm for it to stay but is certainly is pretty.
Now for the real post

Happy Sunday
A week or so ago Mom and I participated in the Doggie Blog Award.  We had to tell 10 things about us.
One of the things Mom told about me was.....

THAT.........

I had a pet gray spot on my back left paw.  She also said I was very protective of my pet gray 'spot'!!
Last weekend I was all comfy on the table when lo and behold the flashy beast came out of nowhere.

Introducing my pet gray spot!!!!!
