Madi discussing her least favorite things in N.C.

Just the other day, as I was watching birds contemplating Einstein's
theory on relativity, when out of nowhere a good old fashion Southern thunderstorm starting a brewin'.

It was time for me to seek shelter and safety.  I've found the best place to ride out a storm is on the steps.  WHY?
If the creek starts to rise, I can head up the stairs.
If the thunder gets too loud, I'll get under the bed
I really do not like thunder!!

Thoroughly Poetic and thankful Thursday #72

Angel Sammy and Teddy find such inspiring photos for us

This is our picture prompt

Bingo was the name
of their game.
They are serious
If you dare to sit THEIR table,
they become furious.
 You might think them curious

Thank you Brian for hosting
I am thank my husband has a
keen eye and green thumb.

Our house faces north.  We have only shade tolerant
shrubs and plants in the front.
However our deck gets indirect morning sun, noon sun
and afternoon sun.

Several years ago we replaced our original deck.  He asked the builders to incorporate four planters on the corners of the deck.
We have all our technicolor on the deck.
This year might be the best year we've had with the planters.

Wordless Wednesday

Thanks to our

Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Only words are the description

My roving photo journalist, Janice, sent this beautiful photo to me last week with this email: This is my church (Temple Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC).  Someone walking past saw the rainbow and took this pic and was nice enough to share with our church Secretary. Since COVID, the church has struggled with keeping membership up (ages 60-90) and financially.   She emailed it to our church members with a sweet note of encouragement to us all.

Hoppy Tuesday

I'm hoppy to say our neighborhood white wild bunny has returned this year
He brought his kissin' cousin with him to graze.

Happy Tuesday Tale

On my walks I try to notice everything around me while remaining upright.
Sometimes I found myself zig zagging.  Good thing it is early.  I would not want the neighbors to think I'm tipsy at 7:30 in the morning.
I pass this section of brick on the median in front of a home about five minutes from home.
I finally took a photo.  When I downloaded the photos, I asked Gigi Google to find "Kids Together Playground 1998".

Gigi is my go to gal and a genius
This is what she found:
It is a playground for kids of all abilities.  A park with play areas by age groups, picnic shelters, trails & a basketball court. It is located in Cary, NC about 25 miles Raleigh.
I think the bricks must have been  fundraiser to help build the park.  Learn more about the beauty and unique design of this accessible, multi-sensory park.

 Thank you to our

Dearest Auntie HiC

I love to nap! 💤 💤💤

Mom says if napping were an Olympic event I’d win gold medals. 😹

I can fall asleep anywhere, anytime!

But my favorite sleeping spot is on Dad’s lap❣️😻❤️

Volume up please...Mom found some wonderful music

It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it! 😹😹😹😹
❤️ Kat 💤💤💤

Dearest Tabby Nephew…
It is clear you have a PhD in napping….should you grow bored of nappin’ maybe you could teach.  I know mom would give you pointers on the best teaching skills.  Uncle and I loved this morning entertainment and the video.  Kudos to Mom on the most purrfect music.
Hugs Auntie HiC and Uncle B
