SATURDAY PHOTO HUNT

TODAY'S SATURDAY PHOTO HUNT WORD IS

LOUD

If these pictures had audio to go with them
trust me when I say it would be
 LOUD
If you asked Mom, she'd say I meow loudly
24/7...but that would be an untrue statement
I don't meow loudly or quietly when I sleep;
however, I do snore (lady like of course).

MADI vs E.G.S.

WHILE I WAS CONTEMPLATING THE NEWS
AN E(vil)G(reen)S(tring) fell into my airspace.
I gave it a sniff

THEN I GAVE IT MY BEST STINKY EYE,
WARNING IT TO BACK AWAY FROM THE CAT
EVIDENTLY IT WAS BORN WITHOUT FEAR
SO I HAD TO LET  IT KNOW  I MEANT BUSINESS
BY SHOWING MY FANGS
THEN IT TAUNTED ME WITH  IT'S BUSHY TAIL NEAR MY MOUTH.  I TRIED TO TRAP IT WITH MY SANDPAPER TONGUE BUT IT GOT AWAY
SO I GROWLED LIKE THE MIGHTY LIONESS THAT I AM.
AND WATCHED WITH GLEE AS IT SCURRIED OUT OF MY AIRSPACE WITH IT'S BUSHY GREEN TAIL TUCKED AWAY.

Thursday Theme Song: Goodnight My Love

Mom and I thank Hootin Anni for sponsoring

Today's featured song is by the one and only Bobby Vinton.
One of Mom's favorite singers.  You might want to grab a cup of high test coffee first.
If you would like to hear this beautiful song as you look at the
pictures, please click on the video below.

 Goodnight, my love (wah-ooh)
Pleasant dreams and sleep tight, my love
May tomorrow be sunny (full of sunpuddles) and bright
And bring you closer to me
Before you go (wah-ooh)
Please remember I need you so
and this love I have for you will never grow cold
If you should awake in the still of the night

Please remember  my love will never grow cold

Good night my love (wah-ooh)

May tomorrow be sunny and bright
And bring you closer to me
May tomorrow be sunny and bright and bring you closer to me.
Goodnight my love
Sleep tight my love
I thank you all for stopping by today and
sweet dreams.

Mom's Reading List

The other day I was checking out the smell mail on  the book Mom checked out from the library.  Imagine my surprise to see that it was about a
D O G!
 She requires constant snoopervision.
Note the subtle change I made.  I doubt she'll
even notice.
Hugs,
Madi

Hurricane: The Golden Retriever

Happy Monday everyone.
In spite of Mom telling me I needed a job last week,  I decided to let bygones be bygones (my new word for the week
meaning: something past).  I gave her permission to go on a very exciting meet and greet on February 18, 2012.

OMC/OMD Mom meet for the very first time one of our blogging furiends, Ms. Tracy click here to visit her blog, Thinking Spot.  She has a link there to Amazon, should you want your very own copy of Hurricane's book.  Currently, Hurricane is on hiatus from blogging.  All of his words are being evaluated by a literary agent. WTG Hurricane!!

In the picture below I'm reading some smell mail from Hurricane.

Mom was so excited to meet Ms. Tracy and her family.  They live about 20 miles from us.  This is Ms Tracy signing our very own book about Hurricane.  Hurricane was unable to attend the gala due to a previously scheduled nap in a sunpuddle.

Not only is Ms. Tracy an author, she is a wife, Mom to one two- legger and two-four leggers, Hurricane and Angel-Kitty.  AK and I  kind of look alike.  Ms Tracy is also an elementary school teacher here in Wake County.
This is Ms. Tracy very handsome son, Nicholas, stamping our book with Hurricane's very own paw stamp
Mom said it was a gorgeous day for an outing at the North Hills Bookery, a locally own bookstore. She thanks Mr. Finch for hosting this event at his beautiful new store. Mom said she looks forward to more visits with you.
Ms. Tracy's hubby, Mr. Scott, set up a very cute arrangement of stuffed Goldens, pictures of Hurricane as a pup, and a box for a drawing.
Mom was very excited to show me what Ms. Tracy wrote in our book
My favorite chapter in the book is titled
"My Kitty-Brothers"!! MOL
Hurricane you are my kind of dog!
Ms. Tracy I apologize if Mom talked your ears off  but
at least mine and Dad's got a rest while she was with you.
Good luck with your book.
Hugs
Madi
