On Saturday January 25th the Amtrak zoomed by us.
Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
My version of poetry in motion.
Oh what a foolish fellow!!
He must have lost a bet
If that horse misses the jump,
he will lose something much more
valuable that no amount of money can buy.
Just sayin'!!!
I’ve always loved trains too, until I took the train (Crescent) from north Georgia to New Orleans! 2 hours into the 13 hour trip I was ready to get off! 😹
ReplyDeletePS… love your poem! Suck it up cowboy! 🤠
Deletewe had the same idea about the horse and the position of the jump heheh... we love the name of the train!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stupid stunt and your poem was spot on! Love the pop-up train station card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool card that is. I'm totally fascinated by how detailed some of those pop up cards are.
ReplyDeleteThat guy letting the horse jump over him like that must have drawn the short straw.
What a fun pop-up card that is. I'm glad you showed it to us I've never seen one like that. I guess I didn't realize that Amtrak ran through your part of the country. In Ohio it runs Way North at Cleveland or even for other South at Cincinnati. Those of us in the middle have to go looking for it.

ReplyDeleteLove that card! As for the fella who drew the short straw at the police planning party... well... YAM x
Great card for Bryan. The Amtrak and freight trains right thru the middle of our little small town.
ReplyDeletelol... how crazy is that picture. That guy was nutz...... Just saying.
That is a great card! Love those cutout cards. SSNS often gets them for me because I think they are so creative and fun. I took a girl's trip with my sis-in-laws on Amtrak... never again. I have read and seen some great train trips to the west that I think would be fun. Yes to your poem!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool card from the Weim Brothers. We bet Bryan had fun putting it together. Your poem is perfect for that silly picture.
ReplyDeleteThat card is so cute! A gift in itself. Great poem for that picture I winced and chuckled at the same time. That looked like a long train. Sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThe card is fantastic. I will be on an Amtrak train in April for our 40th anniversary. We're going from Atlanta to New Orleans. I can't wait. Trains are the only way to travel! Have a great day. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhy would a guy EVER EVER do that? By the way, the closest I have been on a train in a hundred years is in Charlotte on their metro train. It moves right along- and you get from point A to point B. Can't beat that with a stick.
