Color me a HAPPY red and blue
I had no idea
Red and Blue were selected in 1945 as North Carolina's official Colors
TASTY TUESDAY
On January 29, 2025 we tried an
EGGcellent new Cafe in town
Eggs Up Grill
YES the sky was really this blue!! The first 3 weeks of January were just miserable with cold and 2 ice/sleet/snow events not much accumulation but just back to back.
We both ordered their Classic Breakfast $9.99
The same breakfast at another brunch cafe is $11.99
2 eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, grits or hash browns and coffee but that is not included in $9.99 but you get fee refills.
This is my order I had sourdough toast,
It was 200% as delicious as it looks. Grits were perfect consistency, buttery. They could have been a tad bit hotter but delicious. Bryan ordered hash browns and wheat toast.
They did indeed make us smile
We'll be going back and win win it is very conveniently located, great parking.
I got a chuckle out of this egg counter, 13,797, sign in the cafe.

The cafe has been opened about 4 or 5 months.
I hope the cafe gets a good deal on the eggs they buy
what a good place... and they have the perfect menu to start into a good day..
ReplyDeletethe outside photo of the building made me feel happy and also brought a smile. its really happy looking inside and out side.. I saw on the news, some are putting and extra 50 cents per egg these days... this might be your new favorite breakfast place.. yay for nearby
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have a good and fun breakfast place to go to. Mom doesn't drink coffee but she was a waitress for many years and coffee refills at restaurants in our area are always free. Maybe not in other places but that is odd. The egg counter is fun too.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy, especially the grits. 😋
ReplyDeleteI want to be there right now! Looks good, sounds good! I love, love, love grits with buttah. I hope they do well. I will check the menu :)
ReplyDeleteBreakfast looks yummy. Egg prices here are sky high and I heard that there are restaurants that are charging a sur charge if you want eggs with your breakfast.
ReplyDeleteYour meal looks delicious and that blue sky is such a deep blue and so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing about all those places having to raise prices because of eggs. Sounds good.
ReplyDeleteWith the avian bird flu here a dozen eggs now cost about $4. So I guess you were lucky to get such a great breakfast place for as little as you did. I like the red and blue photo, cheerful in a rather primary color way. No color here today, just darken gloomy. But we had Sunshine yesterday even though it was only 20°.
ReplyDeleteWe love your beautiful blue sky. That breafast looks tasty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to eat ~ not an egg fan really but so glad you enjoyed it ~
ReplyDeleteHugs 2x Cecilia and Madi ~ ^_^
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

The egg counter is really cute! It's really nice to go out for breakfast. This looks like a great place to eat. Sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI want breakfast now. I have issues with greasy things and rarely have breakfast, but that breakfast looks so good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Love and hugs. ♥
I LOVE this. What a super idea! I'd be there about every day regardless of the cost. And that is a good buy, I'll add! Now, if I sat next to Bryan, I woulda had the same toast and hash browns too. If he couldn't;t finish his I would ask if I could have 'em. Love 'em.
ReplyDeletebest fishez to them…trying to get eggs now….YEOW…and probably the same breakfast TODAY costs 99.99 🙀🙀😺 very nice restaurant 🐟💙💚‼️
ReplyDeleteYummy -looking breakfast. The prices on breakfast orders with eggs is rising around here with the egg shortage. The peeps don't eat a whole lot of eggs, but Dylan, our canary, gets hard boiled egg every day in his treat dish. Luckily one egg lasts a couple of days or he might find his servings rationed.

Yum!! I sure love visiting the south where grits are on the menu. We don't have them on the menu in NM
ReplyDeletehugs,
Beth
We have a bunch of those here. They actually started in Spartanburg which is the city where we both worked. They are growing and expanding like crazy.
ReplyDeleteNow you've got me wanting a really good breakfast just like yours, Cecilia! And I've been meaning to tell you how much I like your header.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good deal. especially with egg prices being so high. XO
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place! I haven't been out for breakfast in a long time.
ReplyDeleteRed and Blue are wonderful "State colors" !! We're also super duper happy you have found a new spot for those breakfasts you two enjoy visiting - that one sounds like a WINNER for sure!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
That sounds like a great place for breakfast. I would have the hash browns. I have never tried grits, but the name puts me off.
