Saturday Symmetry

Raleigh is growing faster than the speed of light.
This is a similar sight all over.
This building will be mixed use.  Commercial use on the bottom 2 floors and  at least a gazillion
condos/apartments.  As per usual the roads are an after thought, many enlarged with a paint brush.

Happy Leap Day

  1. We've got a lot of mixed use buildings like that around here too.

  3. They are doing that to some of the buildings in Jackson. It's suppose to be a revitalization. Happy leap day to you too.

  7. I love the enlarged streets with a paint brush. THEY are doing this to us here. growth on steroids and approveing zillions of condos in the worst of all areas, downtown, they are building a gas station in the middle of Walmart parking lot and there is no room for it or the traffic it will generate.

  8. No little leaping froggies around here! They would freeze their little buns off! But we do have little juncos and chickadees hopping around in the pear tree. Close enough.

  9. Happy Leap Day! We're getting more snow today. You say they don't think much about the traffic on the roads how about where all those people that are living and working there are going to park.

  10. According to mom and dad Wilmington is doing the same thing. In fact, there's a similar building right down on the riverfront that's about complete that will house apartments, condos, and a mix of retail and commercial space. Dad didn't think there was any space left by the river, but it's amazing how they can stick things just about anywhere.

  11. Love the leaping frogs! If they keep building there won't be one square foot of green left. They are building at an alarming rate here, too. There won't be any preserves, nothing natural left to look at anymore.

  12. I guess it's good that Raleigh is growing like that. We have quite a few "mixed use" buildings in our downtown too.
