Today's Poem title is
From my Window
subtitle: You birds better be glad I'm a house cat
by Madison D. Cat
From my window I spy
birds galore and chippers.
And of course the nasty squirrels who destroy Dad's
planters and make him cry.
Often to my surprise and glee my friend the red
Cardinal wink(s) at me as he chows down on sunflower
seeds and suet without a worry.
Me thinks he might not realize a fierce cat I be.
The tiny chickadee is quick to take seed in a flurry.
The chippers are by far the best at scurrying.
The chippers are by far the best at scurrying.
The robin and his misses on the ground do roam.
They hop and skip about, their single mission is to quickly find
a worm that wiggles to take home.
Wow, that is a really cool poem, Madi!

ReplyDeletePoor Dad, I know he works hard on those planters.
ReplyDeleteI had to push sticks into some of mine to keep wave out of them. Wasn't exactly beautiful, buy at least it kept him from digging in them.
Bravo Madi! That's a terrific poem and I could just hug you for staying indoors and letting the birds enjoy their seeds in peace :)

ReplyDeletesoooooooo beautiful, I've seen some really nice catieres added to windows and such, wish i could spell the word, lol,,,, I'm Lucky/or rather Silly Dilly and Banita in a way i guess, although some wildlife not so much, I live 1000' off the road with pasutures surrounding my place, so my kitties get to go out during the day. Although somedays I have to call fairly loud for that SILLY DILLY. WHY do cats sit around the corner and ignore????
