We have a hawk here but he is taking all the small birds. He has even taken to sitting under the azaleas by the bird feeders, but usually sits on the telephone pole watching for them.
I can add a line to the hawks advice, be prepared to be attacked by blue jays, they can and will dive at you at any time. I sat here in my chair with laptop yesterday watching out the front window what was going on. saw the hawk again running from the jays, they chased him up and down and even sitting in the tree they were diving at him. we see that a lot. he blends in well with the trees in your photos, I might have missed him if not pointed out
Mom and my whole family (except me, Katie) are Raptor fans, and Hawks in particular. We rejoice and tell or text one another whenever one is spotted! Especially in the trees here next to the house. But anywhere. Your mommy was so lucky, Madi. XXXX
Awesome clicking, C! You have some patience! Love the hawk soaring. Very good advice from a hawk. I know about how everything has to eat but we stopped feeding the birds for a bit in Missouri because I didn't want to be serving up a bird buffet all day... couldn't take it. He moved... to the neighbors. Which didn't make me feel better at all.
Hawks are wise......and BIG......we have lots of them around here and they sit up in the big high trees and wait for passing flyers or even chipmunks, etc. and swoop in to capture them. They are pretty birds but I really don't like them myself - I hope I'm too HUGE for them to be interested in!
Please leave a meow or bark for Angel Madi...her assistant (aka Mom) will respond in a timely fashion. =^..^= Life is short, spend it with those who make you laugh “Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” (Leo F.
