Thank you
Dear Auntie HiC,
Breaking News: The Hummingbird Spring Migration has begun!!!
It’s never too early to begin eagerly anticipating the return of our cherished hummingbirds!
Ruby-throated hummingbirds will arrive in NE Georgia in early April.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we won’t be able to make our trip to Colorado this year for the spring migration. However, we’re hoping to head west for the fall migration. Fingers and paws crossed!
This beauty was at our feeder in Colorado May, 2021.
We’ve observed black-chinned, rufous, and Anna’s hummingbirds in different locations, such as Utah and Oregon.
I absolutely adore watching hummingbirds. Here I am, on one of our trips to Colorado, enjoying these tiny, jewel-like creatures! I hold purr-fectly still, not even twitching a whisker.
Please keep us posted on the arrival of hummers in your neck of the woods.
❤️ Rocky
Dearest Rocky
Auntie HiC has a new 5 lb bag of sugar, and I am beyond happy to be able to offer food shelter and admiration to these little Jewels. They make me so happy

How wonderful! Thanks for the reminder. I love hummingbirds too. Fingers crossed for your fall migration trip. Hugs, Denise

Much love
I would love to be able to attract hummingbirds but I've never had much luck. They are so pretty
ReplyDeleteRocky Lynn already has her bag of sugar ready also. Once we get cold weather over and May the first gets here we should have some birds. Right now we still have winter birds that need to go to Canada and they're smart enough not to do it yet. Bitter cold on tap for tonight tomorrow and wednesday. I need you to come up and get me warm, I'm still cold from the power outage.
ReplyDeleteHummingbirds are so amazing! I seldom see them here, as I don't feed them or grow anything to attract them. But my rare sightings are treasured!
ReplyDeleteThey are such beautiful little birds and I have discovered that I need to stop weeding and start being more watchful!
ReplyDeleteThe saddest thing was me having to give up feeding them as the squirrels here in my forested area finally started destroying the feeders over and over and over. Frightened the hummingbirds too many times. After many years of anticipation and cooking their food...the squirrels took them away from me. I have rarely disliked a species more than I dislike squirrels.
ReplyDeleteMine always got here, boys first, about April 5. Girls a week later. Mine left in October...boys first- and girls a week or two later.
ReplyDeleteIt's the most wonderful time of year!!! April 1st I start with one feeder, usually I see a few trail blazers the first week, with all the feeders going up by the end of the month!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Beth
Awww, so precious. We feed the hummingbirds year around. Six large feeders and it's all hubby can do to keep them fed in the summer months.
ReplyDeleteLinky Tools is now back on line.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs to you and Kit and scritches to the kitties. ♥
Charlee: "Hummingbirds! So fascinating to stare at!"
ReplyDeleteHummingbirds amaze me ~ Rocky glad you are taking care of them soon ~
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecila and Angel Madi ~ xo
They are too small and too fast for me to get pictures of them around here.
ReplyDeleteI know there are hummingbirds here in southwest Florida but we haven't seen one since we moved here in 2018. There are so many flowers blooming year round I know they have to be here. Lovely peaceful post with your photos of hummers. Rocky, I am seeing your little ginger noggin🧡
ReplyDeleteThey are such beautiful birds, and it is good to know you will soon be seeing them again.
ReplyDeleteWe love our hummingbirds here too, but they won't arrive until the first week of May for us.
ReplyDeleteYou know what's strange?!?! We hardly ever see any hummers at our place.
ReplyDeleteWe live in the green area so we have a long wait. XO
ReplyDeleteWe have them here and some people do put up the feeders. Without a feeder or a garden, they don’t come by our place often.
ReplyDeleteThat does my heart well
ReplyDeleteThat ruby throated is so beautiful he doesn't even look real!
