Awww Monday Mustard Spark FFF reminder

Today I am pawticipating in

Sparks
They are all about spreading cheer and positive vibes via quotes.

Awww shucks, I'm a MUSTARD snob...there I've said it.
There are many things I'll buy that are grocery store brand but
Mustard and Ketchup MUST(ard) Be Heinz!!

One of my pet peeves is when anyone anywhere puts something back in the wrong place.
Especially at the grocery store.
Recently it was time to stock up on my condiments.  I reached from my
bottle of Mustard.  A few days later we are having burgers. I opened my new mustard
only there was a surprise.  I DON'T eat hot spicy especially with Jalapeno's.  If I do I
will get an instant mouth sore.  Obviously someone Must(ard) put this back in the
Yellow Mustard section.  It was already opened.  My husband said no don't I'll try it.
So we kept it I have "WARM" written in red on the white top!!
Granted the label on the Jalapeno bottle has a green edge on it but I didn't notice.
I will next time!!

November 30, is the last Friday in November....if you wanna have fun and work on your crea8tive writing join us!

  4. We have never had mustard with jalapeno's and we're not sure we ever want to try it. Lazy peeps for putting it back in the wrong spot!

  5. I hate finding things in the wrong spot at the grocery too....it looks like sometimes people just dump stuff from their cart ANYWHERE there's a space! Like finding sweet pickles in the bread aisle! We are Heinz peeps here too - although David likes Maille French SPICY mustard. Also recently switched from Miracle Whip mayo to Duke's. LOVE DUKE'S!

  6. Sorry Cecilia, but one of my pet peeves when living in the USA was that your mustard never tasted remotely like what I expected mustard to taste like!
    Cheers, Gail.

  8. Yikes, I would not have liked that mustard either. Too bad it was put in the wrong place. You all have such a good day.

  10. getting the wrong thing is one of my worst nightmares. I do it a lot. look at what I think I am getting and open it and find it is not what I thought. Always open before I notice it.
I like great value mustard more than Heinz. but I eat all mustard but must be JUST mustard and nothing hot added... once eating in a Mexican restaurant, a friend said try this mustard, it was in a little pot on the table. It ruined my whole meal. my mouth burned for hours and I kept drinking cola to cool it off...

  12. My brother LOVED mustard. On anything. He'd make some of the weirdest concoctions, call it a sandwich....and add mustard.

    LOVE jalapenos myself tho.

  14. In our house it is always French's mustard. French's mustard originated from where we live in Rochester, NY and is the most popular one in this area.

  17. We aren't mustard snobs but ketchup has to be Heinz for my husband.

  18. Heinz is the way to go here too. We don't use a lot of mustard, but ketchup is very popular here, and ONLY Heinz. Mom likes Boar's Head pepperhouse gourmaise.

  19. I like Stadium mustard the best, brown and spicy!

  20. I love Heinz yellow mustard too...and the ketchup. Nothing a lot worse than coming home with the wrong thing. I did that a few weeks ago.

  21. I hate getting the wrog thing too...although I am a fan of "weird" mustards...and not the yellow stuff :-).

  22. I understand about being picky about brands on some things. My husband is like that with his toothpaste, and I accidentally bought the generic that was right next to it and looked so much like it! And of all things, I will only buy one brand of instant potatoes, ha, ha. (Idaho Spuds original, try them, they're great!)

  23. Like Millie and Walter, we always have Heinz brand mustard at our house! We wouldn't put any other brand on our hot dogs and burgers!

  24. We all have our special 'thing' that sets us apart!

  25. Yes, Heinz is the best! It comes from our family's hometown... so we're biased. :)

  26. We only recently got Heinz mustard here! It's always been French's. Ma likes both, she is a mustard lover..she'll even add it to her potato salad if it doesn't have enough already!
Ma likes jalapeno ketchup though...she used to put salsa in her ketchup as a kid. yeah, she's a weirdo!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  27. French's mustard and Heinz ketchup here. Hellmann's light mayo but I think it is time to try Duke's! Love your collage of condiment Sparks! I have to say that we pretty much stick to name brands when shopping for FOOD!
