N. C. Museum of Art's newest sculpture.
We watched as the cement display pad was installed.
A few days later we saw this, to me it resembles two finger tips touching

This is the plaque describing it.
What a great name for an artist!!
Longleaf Pine note the difference in the pine needles on the taller trees...just regular pines, behind it
It isn't too far from the above sculpture on the

It does look like two fingertips!
ReplyDeletewe agree... two fingertips... but to touch the fingers not with your fingers is something special LOL
ReplyDeleteHmmm, we quite like the sculpture, but we like the sculptor's name even more!
ReplyDeleteGail is wondering which part of this post is 'wordless'!

Yes it does look like finger tips.
ReplyDeleteThe sculpture does look like two fingertips touching! What a beautiful and very soft looking Pine.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt really does look like fingertips.

Love the fingertips touching. It's beautiful. Love the plaque too. Happening in so many places.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that kind of pine before. Very unique.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Big hug. ♥
We like your interpretation of the sculpture better than what is on the plaque. That pine tree is so cute. We hope one day it will be as towering as the one's behind it.
ReplyDeleteThat one is very nice and very clever!
ReplyDeleteThe little pine looks so floofy! I like your perception of the sculpture. So true what he says about Kansas rural areas, rural in Missouri, too. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI just don't understand sculptures. XO
ReplyDeleteI prefer the pine tree, it is so cute. no comment on the art!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, what a lovely day, art and nature!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious how the two pieces stay connected; or if it's one solid sculpture
ReplyDeletecool pine; don't see those here !! :) ♥♥
What an interesting piece of art...I agree with your "fingers touching" description....
ReplyDeleteYou sure have some interesting things to see where you live!
ReplyDeleteLove the little pine tree! We have an Austrian pine in our back yard. It has long needles, but not as long as the one in your picture.
We think it’s two paws touching. :)
ReplyDeleteArt is to make a person think, and this sculpture is intriquing!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very interesting pine tree - the needles look very long!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Awesome
ReplyDeleteI love that art! And the special pine tree. Both are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI see a couple of those big pink erasers in the first picture and a plastic, wall mounted paper towel holder in the second one. Strange, where our minds go...
ReplyDeleteWow cool sculpture and the Long Leaf pine is awesome!
