Thank you to our
Pup, Kat and Rocky's mom often says:
Her favorite antique is a senior pet
Recently my neighbors were dog sitting Roxy. They told me her story.
It began 12 years ago when she was found wandering alone near a lake.
She immediately ran to the people when they called her. No id tag or microchip. The family who found her took her to the Vet
for spaying, vaccinations and a serious clean up.
The rest of her story is she became princess of her furever home and was named
Roxy. Right photo Roxy came over to visit me. The next day I looked out my back door to see that sweet face looking in my door.
Thanks for getting my Monday off to a good start with two heart-warming tales of love and care.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
that are two wonderful stories about love... and we hope that all pups and kitties will find the people who give them a furever home...
ReplyDeleteOur pets are truly family. (To be honest here...most times, better than humans).
ReplyDeleteLove makes the world a much better place, the love of a pet makes it super better!
ReplyDeleteSenior pets are great, but so are pets of any age. Having a pet is a blessing.

ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwww.... thank heavens fur furever homes waiting with open doors! YAMxx
you know I am a sucker for senior dogs and also for rescued pets. also I love happy ever after stories. these fit both things. as Beau and I walked today I was thinking about how many seniors live alone and need company. a cat or dog would be perfect but some can't afford it. my idea is for seniors to dog sit during the day. pawrentz that work long hours need sitters. they could drop off the dog and pick up or senior person could go sit at their house, make $$$ and have fun doing it... our shelter is doing foster care this way. they pay all the bills and vets stuff but the senior gets the pleasure of owning a dog but not. they are begginf ro seniors to do this.
ReplyDelete2 good stories. Sweet little girls.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful loving and very dear story. XXX
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy for these beautiful girls!
ReplyDeleteAw on both of them. It's good to be loved and pampered. These two are. You made me smile this morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hugs, my friend. ♥
Such sweet stories of such cute pups.
ReplyDeleteLove senior pets......most of us pet people have had older pets with time and know that when we give them a "forever" home it's truly forever and comes with senior "baggage" in the later years. All part of making sure their lives are as happy as they've made us for all the time we've had them in our family. Daisy and Roxy are two examples of how even "surprise" forever homes are still just that............forever.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
