Today I have two thankfuls.
1.I'm thankful that I am a morning person. My kitchen sink faces East. I often see spectacular sunrises. This was what I saw on August 5 at 6:10 AM.
2. I am thankful for good neighbors. Last week our neighbors, who live in the house shown in the picture above, were on vacation. We took care of their plants, mail and trash bins. To thank us they brought us 4 Chocolate Hazelnut Croissants

ReplyDeleteWell, I was up before sunrise today and saw Saturn, Jupiter and Venus plus Betelgeuse and Aldeberan... because the sky is actually clear for once! I had an insomnia night - so sympathise with the young man entirely! YAM xx

ReplyDeleteexcellent pay for house sitting. I am thankful our house faces north and south, kitchen to the south and front window to the west. we gage our thankfuls because this is perfect for Florida sun. I love a view out the kitchen window, and in fact love looking out all our windows. I can watch the sunrise this time of year looking to NE from the window in the bedroom or living area. today when we a walked, it was 6:50 and we saw the same look you saw. days are getting shorter and shorter
ReplyDeleteThat's a great poem for that picture. You have a great view out your window. We have too many trees in the way to see a good sunrise or sunset. Those treats from the neighbors look delish!
ReplyDeleteSunrises and sunsets like that are so wonderful to see. Thank you for capturing it.

Hahaha... a very good poem! That is a very pretty sunrise. I am up by 5 am but I am not a morning person. My brain doesn't start firing till after lunch. Good neighbors you and good neighbors them. Good neighbors are hard to find.
ReplyDeleteThose are both good thankfuls, after many years we have good neighbors on both sides of us. Good poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunrise and nommy treats from your neighbor!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect poem!!
Maybe after I retire, I'll become a morning person again. Right now, working the 3-11pm shift I'm dead to the world (kind of like that guy in the picture) until at least 8am. I enjoy watching a sunset instead. By the way, retirement will be by the end of this month.
