The middle of May I posted that I ' might'
have a new crochet project. It has gotten off to a slow start but it has started.

My next crochet project 'might' be learning or attempting to learn
63 patterns. All are 7" squares.
Left to right 3, 7" squares
single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet
each 7" square is finished off with single crochets around the border
3 single crochets in each corner of the square.
variegated pastel single crochet
aqua half double crochet
Dusty rose Double Crochet
I first posted this on April 30. It is definitely worth a re post.
It is from First Watch one of our favorite breakfast cafes.
I like your squares. They all look perfect. If I had made them I'm quite certain that they would have all ended up different sizes.
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to pull out some of the crochet books I have to find a simple project to work on in the evenings.
The pig on the wall is almost as colorful as your yarn. This looks like you're doing quite well and it's fun to see you using different stitches on each block. What's fun about doing blocks as you can do one or three and then put it up until you feel like getting out again.
ReplyDeleteI’m not able to open your blog on a regular basis. 🙁
DeleteThe varigated pastel single crochet calls to me. I know nothing about crochet, I just know what makes me happy. I think it is going to be a joy to "watch"(?) you learn 63 patterns. I have no doubt you will achieve your goal.
ReplyDeleteWe like First Watch too. We aren't "out to eat for breakfast" peeps anymore. We should do brunch or lunch. I would like The Traditional please or the Ham and Gruyere Melt. They do have some symmetry going on there. I am sorry my comments are always long. I am chatty.
From "she who can barely sew a button on" ... BRAVO and go girl!
ReplyDeletegood job, when you grow up you can do the one Yam is doing now. Ha Ha,.. love the colors, can't wait to see the finished project. looks like a nice place to eat breakfast.

I am impressed with the crocheting. XO
ReplyDeleteYour crochet squares are coming along beautifully!
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented! We like First Watch but we don't go very often, it's crazy crowded.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. The squares look like the perfect size for potholders with the right yarn:). We are curious to see what other stitches you will try.
ReplyDeleteYour crochet is lovely, I'm sure you are having fun with it.

ReplyDeleteMiss C - these are delightful and a great start to the project!
For reasons that make my teeth hurt, Blogger only brought your post to me a day late... YAM xx
Almost forgot and must not forget, sending hugs :)
