Saturday Symmetry and Stitches

Symmetry

Thanks to YAM for fueling my urge to crochet

To save strain on my healing eyes
I worked on making seconds of some of the stitches I like
here are 18 I have completed to date.  I am working on square #2 of the half double crochet
I'm quite surprise no one has mentioned there is no R E D square(s).
Never fear I have a plan...there will be.  Needless to say I will not make all 63 squares.
I'm thinking 25 or 30 total then they have to be stitched together with a yarn needle.
STAY TUNED.

  1. Of course there will be red :) It's going to be fantastic when you get it all put together.

Repeating pattern will help with the overall look of this patchwork blankie... and then you can work on the remaining 30 or so stitiches for another one...!!! Hehehe... I love this and look forward to seeing the finished item. Hope that eye is properly settling down now. YAM xx

  3. Since everyone was counting, we started to count the rectangles and squares in your "symmetry" photo: gave up at 44 ... quite sure if enlarged there would be many more!

  6. You're making good progress on all those crochet squares. They look simply lovely. Is red a favorite color of yours that that is why people are asking? That's an interesting looking building at the top of the photo. Have a great Saturday. We are going to a model train show today.

  7. You are just moving right along with the crochet squares.

  8. You have quite a collection of squares so far. It wouldn't be your creation if it didn't include some red.

  9. It is so nice to see them! It's going to be very pretty when you have finished. I am curious to see what you have in your mind's eye for RED!

  11. Wow, our mom is impressed. She never could get the hang of crochet. She was an avid knitter, but with neuropathy and lack of dexterity she had to give it up along with cross stitch and needlepoint. She will look forward to seeing the finished project. 1. Thank you Kit, Kat, Rocky and Cali....Crocheting is relaxing clears my mind of everything. MOL MOL the final place for this creation is probably gonna be here for the time being. I think it will look very pretty in our family room.
However, everything here belongs to that someone special. She has several Afghans and quilts I've made but keeps them out of feline reach. I also made her seasonal wall hangings. She especially enjoys Fall with pumpkins
