Drive by snap of Lead Mine Lake...I was a bit early for Mother Nature's Fall show.
I will go back
This sweet little plant with lavender blooms
hopped over into this area by our sidewalk. The original plant was in a terra cotta pot
we don't know what it is... but we like it

Volunteer plants can be a wonderful gift especially if they add colour. That lake looks lovely now. And another different show to come as the seasons change.

The tiny lavender flowers are so pretty and we love your Halloween header!
ReplyDeleteI do love hopping plants, we see purple flowers in a neighbors yard, that hopped in the middle of all his green, like they were planted there. the photo of the door and window make the trees more special to me. I really like that photo
ReplyDeleteI agree about the little pink lavender flower. I have no idea what it is but if it's going to get bigger that would be pretty. Fall trees in the background over the lake, there is going to be some great color. Give you any ideas about crocheting with those colors?

ReplyDeleteFirst, for some reason, Blogger decided to only send your Saturday post along with your Sunday post... so thank you for the 'doodle shot!
Second, LOVE that through the door shot and can see the promise of colour over yonder - will look forward to the update shot. Can we have a close-up of the wee 'migrant'? Biggifying this one only blurred the image... it could be a shamrock, but couldn't be entirely sure based on this. YAM xx
Lead Mine Lake looks pretty cool. Dad says to zoom in to cut out the car window frame and it would make an awesome photo and a dificult puzzle, too.
ReplyDeleteI love when plants surprise you like that. I had grape hyacinths come up in the spring that I have no idea where they came from.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice when Mother Nature sends a little gift your way!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see another view of the lake in full fall color. How sweet that the little purple plant popped up where it did.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have yet to get a volunteer plant! Seems like the whole town does and most of the CB but we remain bare of them.
ReplyDeleteI can’t wait to see lake in full fall colors!
ReplyDeleteI think your volunteer plant is a pink shade of periwinkle. We had some too, but I pulled it up because it can be toxic to animals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periwinkle_(color)
I think it would be fun to see your top photo when the leaves put on a show. Nicely framed in the car window! I think Lead Mine Lake is one of my favorites that you visit. So many beautiful places in your area. Love the little adventurous lavender flowers!
ReplyDeletelol... I'm barely remembering the name of the things I intentionally plant.
