Symmetry Saturday

A stroll along the water front in Morehead City
If you can enlarge the photo look carefully at the 2nd floor middle window.  You will see a person at the table but the WINNER is the Leg Lamp ...which was made famous in the 1980's movie
A Christmas Story

  1. We love the leg lamp......we watched that movie last night and every year we laugh harder and harder when they open that BIG BOX and there's a LEG. Thankfully we did not get any legs in our Christmas gift boxes!!!

  2. Since Bob is not a Christmas Movie watcher, other than the infamous Die Hard, we have not seen the movie, or the leg lamp and certainly have never seen a photo of a person sitting with a leg lamp through a window.. love the photo and the story.. great catch.

  3. That leg lamp is hilarious, but I don't think I would want one!

  4. I love A Christmas Story but I'm not sure that I would want a leg lamp in my window! LOL

The reference to the inside of the window is lost on me (not a great one for seasonal movies and that lamp is grotesque), but I DO love your image of the post-modern architecture! YAM xx

  8. I saw one of those leg lamps in someone's window here. I haven't seen that movie in a very long time.

  9. I think it's very interesting you found the leg!!! We almost watched that movie Christmas day but we tuned it on and looked at each other and said nope. But the leg will never be forgotten! There is some most excellent symmetry you captured.

  12. My family watches that movie at least once on Christmas Day, they find it so funny. I'm generally cooking and cleaning but it's a good thing. I'd heard you could buy the lamp, but why anyone wants to is beyond me.
