Thank you
Dear Auntie HiC,
After SEABOARD CAFE CLOSED IN SEPTEMBER 2024, WE SPENT THE NEXT 17 months of trying to, 'FIND CAFE WORTHY OF REPLACING SEABOARD'! WE WERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS OF SEABOARD FOR 30 YEARS.
WE found our new favorite cafe
few photos below of menu
'Our story' section.
FOOD WAS DELICOUS. WE SHARED A SCOOP OF CLASSIC CAROL'S CHICKEN SALAD...DELICOUS WE EACH ORDERED A CUP OF SOUP: BRYAN ORDERED LOADED POTOAT WITH LOADS b a c o n
ME: CHICKEN AND WILD RICE.
THEY HAVE 3 VARIETIES OF SOUP EACH DAY OF THE WEEK
Decor is pleasing and restful, lots of windows
AND OF COURSE THE CHEERY RED WALL BEHIND THE BEVERAGE STATION MADE ME HAPPY.
ABOUT 12 TYPES OF GORUMET CHICKEN SALAD 2 TYPES OF HOMEMADE PIMENTO CHEESE.
A SMALL ICED COOKIE COMES WITH EACH ORDER. LOTS OF TABLES INSIDE AND THERE IS A COURTYARD BEHIND WITH TABLES AND UMBRELLAS THAT SEVERAL CAFES SHARE.
THIS CLUCKING CHICK AND HER ROOSTER SAY
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW FINALLY

This is March.

ReplyDeleteBut you had fun doing all the searching for your new forever cafe, right?! This does look attractive, I must say... YAM xx
That looks like a nice place, light and airy. I couldn't read the menu, when I enlarged it the words blurred. I would always have soup though!
ReplyDeleteyay for finding your new favorite place.. both soups sound good to me, but bacon wins every time. I love bacon. this place is happy and cheerful. hope its close to home. my fav is the beverage station. red and SPOONS
ReplyDeleteSo glad you could find another place that you will like as much as the Seaboard. We felt like we "knew" the Seaboard too thanks to your posts!!! This place looks GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
The café looks wonderful! I love the decor, green being my favourite colour. Plus the menu is making me hungry. 🙃
ReplyDeleteWish you further good days... with the new Café and more.
ReplyDeleteGreetings by Heidrun ❤️
This looks like a nice place. Glad you could find a place to replace your old favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks and sounds like you found this spot for a delicious meal. And an equally pleasing atmosphere. That's a pretty big menu I'd say. Thanks for the new header and thanks for the new spark. Happy Monday
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a really nice spot. After so long, it is hard to change but change can be a good thing too. Look at all the new places you have tried since your favorite one closed.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a wonderful spot and the offerings sound delicious! Love the quote!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a furbulous place to go, and the menu ... YUM!!!!! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI googled Chicken Salad Chick and "who knew?" we have two close to us!!! You found a wonderful place and now we have too thanks to you. We will give it a try this week. I am so happy it makes you two HAPPY! They have Miss Vickie's Chips and Red Velvet cake... that was our wedding cake😋
ReplyDeleteI think your Spark is true!
I'm glad you finally found "your" cafe after so many months. The menu looks tasty but I hope you don't get tired of eating so much chicken. BOL!
ReplyDeleteOne just opened here but Mom hasn't made it yet. Guess she should!
ReplyDeleteWe also have one close to us that opened last year. I think it's time to go check it out!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
hugs,
Beth

ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~ xo
I'm glad you found a good place for lunch. Sounds very good and the place looks most welcoming. I'm hungry now. Wish hubby and I could join you for lunch.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs to you and Kit and scritches to all the kitties. ♥
That place sounds absolutely delicious, Cecilia. And of course, dad just read this about an hour before his usual lunch time so I'm thinking he's gonna hit it a bit sooner.
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy you found another favorite after your Seaboard Cafe closed. Always nice to have a go-to place. Hugs, Denise
ReplyDeleteThere is one here as well. I have only been once. I think next time I will get the classic chicken salad, I tried the one with fruit, and thought perhaps I should try another version they offer.
ReplyDeleteWe have one here but I've never been, it's way far away from where we live.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly “paid your dues” searching for your new favorite spot! So happy your search is finally over! 😻
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice spot. I love to order soup. XO
ReplyDeleteWe have them here. I need to try them.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you’ve found your happy place.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have found your new special spot.
ReplyDeleteI rarely get out to eat; but it sounds wonderful ~ choices remind me a little of PANERA which I still love. And was happy to find Panera soups now in the HT markets (and as good as the restaurant ones).
ReplyDeleteWe have a chicken salad chick in town here, too. Jeff's got too many food allergies to eat there, though. I'm so glad you're very happy with it and I know they'll be getting lots of your business. Enjoy!
