Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
No matter where I am, or the season
My mind's eye finds a reason
to see mountains in all their glory.
They are my happy place to go exploring.
Thankful today.

Love the picture and your poem. The picture taken in Boone perfectly captures the haze of the Smokey Mountains. I always wished I had moved farther north into the “higher elevations”.
ReplyDeletewow that is great.. and our minds eye is a wonderful thing thats for sure ..

ReplyDeleteA glorious scene - both generated and photographed! The light in yours is magical (caused by gases from the trees refracting the sunlight...) YAM xx
Your mountain high photo is just as pretty as the photo for Poetic Thursday! Love the poetic thought too.......
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Oh, I would love to have a view like that of the AI image. Wistful sigh.
ReplyDeleteYour own photo is even lovelier, such an amazing vista! And a real image, which makes it even better, IMO.
That is a lovely photo of the misty mountains. The poem is lovely too. The view is the ideal to gaze out of the window, and to read books.
ReplyDeleteLove your poem and the photo that goes with it and I also love your beautiful misty photo of the mountains!
ReplyDeleteI love Florida and we are flat as a pancake, but I also love mountains, and the Smokies are a favorite as are the Appalachians. beautiful photo
ReplyDeleteSeeing that photo just makes me miss coming down into Virginia to the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. We went there 13 years in a row in the spring to watch the bird migration of warblers.
ReplyDeleteMountains are amazing and we enjoy seeing them and hiking around on them but we just like to be out in any kind of nature wandering and checking out all the sights and smells of the area.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view; and I too favor the Mountains wherever I have been or lived. That is a beautiful vision you shared with us this morning. I hope if you have more...more will be coming along for us to see too. x
ReplyDeleteWOW! Beautiful. Nothing like that around here.
ReplyDeleteThe poem is wonderful and fits perfectly with the picture.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful poem and thankful today...love the views!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Beth
What a great poem for that picture and your picture with the pink sky is beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Our Mama and Dada were out that way many years ago! They almost moved to North Carolina before they moved to California."
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, I'm glad they came here instead of going there! If they were in North Carolina, who would have adopted all of us?!"
Great poem and thanks for the reminder about Go Purple Day.
