Thoroughly Poetic Thursday#267

 Today we join

Angel Sammy and brudder Teddy
at Sammy's Poetry Corner

I give this photo a title
"Don't touch me"

Winter, Spring, Summer or fall
Twins are a handful
They make each other bawl
Never on the same timetable
One is happy, one fells crappy
Thru thick and thin
when the universe tries to come between them
The have each other's back.

  1. Adorable photo & your poem is spot on! 😆 The year I retired a dear friend’s daughter had triplets (girls) & she already had a 13 month old! I was asked to help out 2 days a week! What an experience, especially for someone who had no children! I truly loved every moment! ❤️

  3. Well done ~ my "twin" great nieces are as different as night & day ~ except when it comes to the last line of your poem!!!

  4. The photo made me laugh and reminded me of two of my cousins. Brother and sister but not twins. As adults they would get in the "he's touching me" "No I'm not" argument whenever they would get together. It was always funny to listen to them.

  5. Your poem is a winner for that photo - not that I've ever had twins before but I believe you!

  6. Oh my.....what a perfect poem for the twins photo! We thought it would be tons of fun to write a poem for and you proved that with yours. Thanks for joining in the poetic fun on Thursdays - we always look forward to seeing what you've come up with!!!!

  7. That was a perfect poem! I enjoyed that! I was just thinking of Kat's mom's comment and the triplets and 13 month old that she helped with for awhile. WHOA! Trial by fore!!! 4 babies all at once. I thought I had it difficult with two a year apart and then, the last one three years later.

  8. Even though we weren't twins, I know my sister and I had more than a few "don't touch me" sessions LOL.

  12. We lost our interwebs! I didn't think SSNS would be able to survive. I have read about the connection that twins can have. I enjoyed your poem... through thick and thin I have heard about twins.

  13. LOL, never thought of that for this pic, but it works great! Everyone's poem today has a different theme, and they've been so much fun to read. As an only child, I never experienced the "joys" of sisterhood, LOL!

  15. You got that right! Twins will fuss and fume and have each other’s backs no matter what.
