NOTE FROM MOM: regarding the vicious meow on yesterday's post.
As I've mentioned, Madi is quite vocal. There have been a total of 6 cats (past and present) in our family and extended family. We know a lot about meows. Madi has quite a unique way of meowing. It starts with 'me' (barely a squeak), then she accents the OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!! That is what you were seeing yesterday the big OW!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Madi & Mom
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice recipe for chilli - we would pass on the quarter of a cup of chilli too!
As for you loud meows Madi, it is important for us girls to have a voice.
Sometimes when you are small and female you can get passed over!
You just keep right on meowing............as loud as it takes...........oh and don't try that chilli yourself.
love

Hi Madi & Mom,
ReplyDeleteThe chili sounds delicious and perfect for the cool days we are having. I like it with southern style cornbread. Thanks for the recipe.
We love your big Meow Madi, keep it up. It took Cindi Lou almost a year before she decided to talk to us. Her meows can be pretty loud too sometimes.
Hugs & Purrs,
Judy and Cindi Lou

Sounds like a great meal on a cold winter day....thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your recipe
ReplyDeleteI try to translate it :-)
So Magi, if I understand correctly, you Mom prefers a more tame chili and not the kind where you need to have right next to you the phone number for the closest fire department...I'm with her!! Though I do know, love and respect a few people who love that hot, firey chili...they have my utmost admiration!!
ReplyDeleteThe recipe looks great and I'll have to try it soon with this cold weather it would be best! I will send your Mom a recipe that might go well with the chili, but can definitely be had at any time (well, I think so!).
Thanks for your daily comments! We enjoy and appreciate them!

We LOVE chili!!!!!!!!! Can we come over for some???? Mamabug isn't up to fixing us any, yet.......xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI have to find out if I like chili before I decide if I liked your post today, Madi. Do you like chili? I know I like kat-food for sure.
ReplyDeleteTwink!
We had no idea it was National Chili day! When our mom makes chili she mostly makes it from the packets at the store, plus added spices. But she doesn't use meat - she uses rice and beans (because she isn't a big meat eater). She is a bit crazy like that.
ReplyDeleteHi Madi!
ReplyDeleteThis is too funny...Momma didn't know it was National Chili Day, but do you know what she made for the dinner? Chili! (It's furry cold here and chili just sounded good)...we are really giggling about this!

Madi and C,
ReplyDeleteWe are in for MORE cold!!! You too!!!
C your Chili recipe sounds really good!!! I will try it some time soon.
Tom has a cold again. It is just a head cold, not the H1N1!!! He worked today and will work tomorrow. He has to be VERY SICK to not go to work!! He is not as sick as he was last year when he had (we think) the H1N1. But I still have to do more than I have to do when he is all well. You Know??
Kiss for Madi, Happy, Bambi & Fern
