I was pretty sure I was dreaming when I heard mom
say Madi I'm going to make Puff Muffins for you.
In all my 11 years mom has never made any cat foodables from
scratch.
Lo and behold she did the proof is in the pictures
the success is in the taste test
I was sitting on the table when I saw her put my
Winnie the Pooh plate on the bar...
I jumped up and immediately. I gave it a
SNIFF test, which it passed
Then I stuck out my delicate tongue for the
TASTE test, it passed
Mom broke one puff muffin into smaller pieces
I was pretty sure I was still dreaming because
1. It was not time for a snack or a meal
2. Mom counts every morsel she puts on my plate
3. But just in case it was a mistake I ate quickly
AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THIS PICTURE THE PUFF MUFFINS
WERE A BIG HIT..THE WERE LIP SMACKING GOOD
AND AS THE RECIPE SAYS
THEY ARE A NUTRITIOUS BETWEEN MEAL SNACK
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK MY SWEET FRIEND
EACH WEEK. MOM REALLY HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS
A RECIPE FOR CAT FOODABLES THAT I WOULD EAT
***********************
Hints for making them:
I divided them into 3 batches. 2 are in the freezer. I probably should have made them a tad smaller. The Diva has a delicate mouth lol I broke them up for her. Most of her store bought treats are flat. Next batch I will make smaller and I think I will flatten some w my thumb before baking.

ReplyDelete2. Our Mommy is fussin cuz your Mommy has definitely raised the standard for the proof reader/typist/slave in our household! MOL!!!
Happy Tuesday to my favorite tuxie girl! XOXO from your main mancat, Prancer Pie.
From the look of your tongue actions we thinks these treats must be heavenly. We didn't know treats could be homemade. We will be having a serious conversation with our Mom. She has never done any baking just for us kitties (we checked with our senior member, Cindi, and got verification on that point).

ReplyDeletetell your Chef/assistant she did a fantastic job of capturing you today. you look so beautiful. and those could even be eaten by dogs OR PEOPLE... think about adding tuna or salmon in that list of ingredients.. what say ye
ReplyDeleteI have copied this recipe. I'm sure the Putter Jean will love these as she has developed a taste for any food that is on my plate.
ReplyDeleteWe are having to constantly remind her not to put her nose, paws and body upon the plate while we are in the process of eating. She doesn't quite agree with the reminders and vocally chastises us for the mistreatment of a starving feline.
Slimdoggy Jack's mouth is watering. He says he would like to try these!
