My Tail
from
I Could Pee on This by Francesco Marciuliano
If my tail is curved then I'm at ease |
If it is tucked then do what you please |
If it twitches then get out of my sight (I'm watching a squirrel on my deck) |
If it is to one side then I'm free for the night (if you can wake me up) |
If it is fluffed then I simply can't deal |
If it swishes (and my fangs are showing) then it is about to get real |
If it is erect then for you I give thanks |
It there is no tail then I'm a Manx
BREAKING NEWS I
My vet told mom to check in with him yesterday to let him know how my my subqs and how my appetite was over the weekend. She told him Miss Piggy I was eating like there was no tomorrow. WooHoo for the next two weeks
Pokemo(m)n only has to do Subqs every other day. Needless to say
everyone is thrilled. I go back to the vet in 2 weeks to have my blood stolen to check my kidney levels.
BREAKING NEWS 2
Yesterday my good budz the Doodz left this comment
Madi, tell your mom that she is as tall as measuring from the tip to tip of her middle fingers when arms are outstretched.

Dearest Doodz, mom ran lickety split out to get Stanley, the tape measure. Dad measured Mom's outstretched arms from tip of middle finger to tip of middle finger. It is 5'1". 'Course Dad knew she had short arms 'cause she can't reach anything. Then Dad measured mom's height....lucky she has not shrunk she is still 5' 3 1/2"
Breaking New 3
Yesterday Bently and Pierre left this comment
Are most cat's legs and tails the same length? I know humans are built weird like that. Our foot is the same length as our elbow to wrist. MOL!
Dearest Bently and Pierre
We are not sure if most cat's legs and tails are the same length. Summer said her tail was longer...
But good news moms feets are the same length, 9", as the distance between her elbow and wrist..WooHoo
MOL, now you have my human pulling out the ruler and looking for a tape measure! Her arm from elbow to wrist is 10", longer than her foot by maybe half an inch or so. But she is also taller, about 5'6".
ReplyDeletelove the tail poem!!! I bet a lot of people took the measurement of tails and legs yesterday... me too... my tail is longer than my legs... think I'm not normal... yes, said my dad LOL. we will check the size of the mama today... and I wish we had secret spy cams to see the measurement-pawties efurrywhere in blogville hahahaha
ReplyDeleteMy momma has LONG arms for her height - she's like a monkey or somefin.
ReplyDeleteHehe, good one Madi and the Doodzs, now all the peeps are rushing to measure themselves!!!
ReplyDeleteYour Tail infomercial is very useful Madi, especially fur a pup like me trying to make friends wiv the local kitties, now I nose how to read the tell tail signs!
Loves and licky kisses

You sure do have an expressive tail, Madi! I love the first picture of your tail point to the dot on your foot! It's priceless!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your are feeling better Madi. Keep eating!
ReplyDeleteThose measurement facts are all very interesting.
Pokemo(m)n has me ROFL and I can't type to comment. thanks for the tale of tail definitions.. did not know any of these.. also enjoyed the old wives tails and the fact Pokemo(m)n took the time to measure...
ReplyDeleteThose tail positions are very important. Glad to get a review on them. And Madi, we are so glad that you are doing better. Keep up the good work. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteYAY MADI! That's great news - you have been the purrrfect patient with the subqs and eating well. I hope your bloods show that when you visit Mr. Stabby again. As for tails, mine has a mind of its' own which is good because I have enough trouble controlling all my other parts so my tail can take care of itself!
ReplyDeleteLove and Teddy Bear Hugs,
Teddy
I like the My Tail info Madi. Great news about the vet. I hope in 2 weeks when they steal your blood again, that it is not as bad as when the Vampire at my doctor's tries to steal mine. I have even told that person if she sticks me more than 3 or 4 times again, she would be sporting bruises.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.
Oh I have tail envy! Momma calls my tail a finger! Keeping you in my puppy prayers for good results on your kidney results. You got this Madi girl!
ReplyDeletePUppy Growls,
Lucy
That's good news about your subq treatments. Our mom uses her arms to measure things all the time. She is about 5'1" so her wing span is about 5'. It comes in handy if you don't have a measuring tape with you. BOL!
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteCrikey, seems I missed something... I fit into none of those measurements! Sorry to have been a bit 'absent' Madi... it was becasue, well, I was absent! (Edinburgh again...) Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Wonderful news about the fluids! And you have a lovely, and expressive, tailio.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to show us all the things your tail can do, Madi!!! And it is certainly a beautiful tail/tale:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning and Misty
FINALLY! A post to show off your glorious tail, Madi! We hope you're feeling better :) Ellie's at her limit with vet visits and all the related nonsense too.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I see I have a rival in the glorious tail department....
ReplyDeleteLove the poetry, and the news that you are doing okay, Madi!
ReplyDeleteWay to go sweet Madi, keep chowing down!
ReplyDeleteGreat tail signals--a bit like symaphore!
ReplyDeleteYears ago, was shopping with a younger sister when she kept putting shoes on her arm, asked what she was doing and she said, 'seeing if the shoe will fit me.' Then explained that the foot is the size of the forearm. I tried it, and it worked.
Good work about the eating...and only being tortured every other day now, Madi.
Beautiful poem Madi! So your mom did not measure up, eh? OK, try this. Add your mom's year of birth to her age and the answer should be 2017.
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley

ReplyDeleteI love your tale of tails! I had a Manx and he was such a cool cat. He was solid black and his name was Amos. He is now a character in my books. I am glad that my foot theory worked. LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe loved seeing all your different tail positions, Madi. And that's great news about only having to get poked every other day now.
