..oh no, wait... you do gallons over there, right? So this is totally, ridiculously, outrageously cheap. We are in litres (4.5 to the gallon). That price = 38p/ltr but we are paying 1.30gbp/ltr on average... or 5.85gbp/gal... or $7.66... (Sorry, I had to work that out, it's a thing I have...) Yxx
Sorry Yam, more calculating needed! Only 3.8 litres to the US gallon. I paid £1.20 per litre last week. Cheers Gail. PS High oil prices good for the climate, and for the Aberdeen economy?
oh that fruitcakes make a good vest... when the mama baked them LOL... we nearly swooned last week as we paid 1.61 euros for one liter diesel... fortunately the prices are back to 1.49 but that is still a lot... but we are glad to fill the tank, even when it hurts ...
We're at $1.49 per litre for the unleaded 91 that goes in our car. So that's about $3.876 per gallon. So you got a cheap price. Of course the price will go up next week when it's Christmas and the beginning of the summer holidays.
that is what i paid a week ago for my gas, down from 2.59 the last time i bought gas.. we both love fruitcake and have never had a hard one, but that is funny. i see jokes about fruit cake a lot, but my mothers and my aunts were delish and my SIL makes even better than mother did. bob was said when i asked her to stop our yearly fruitcake in 2017, we have missed 3 so far. and we do miss them.
$2.17 here. LOL on the fruitcake. Which reminds me, Erik sent me some thing I thought was really funny. I'll have to post it on my blog soon. I keep forgetting.
That joke is hilarious!!! Fruitcake would make an excellent bullet-proof vest and of course an emergency snack if needed. Our gas is $2.31 right now so close to yours....
That is absolutely hilarious about the fruit cake! After an Irish wedding (at least in my Dublin-dwelling family), part of the wedding cake (which is a fruit cake - who knows why?) is placed in the freezer. Then, for years afterwards, it is shared with family. Ummm, it's not so great to be one of the people who it is shared with... although the thought is nice.
Holy crap! You guys don't wants to know what we pay here!!!!! And right nows, it is considered cheap....$3.59 a gallon! It's been up above $4 bucks! oh, don't gets Ma started..... Kisses, Ruby ♥
I actually love a good fruitcake (Claxton) but still thought the cartoon was hilarious. BTW, I bought gas for $1.94 a gallon yesterday using my value card at Food City.

That cartoon cracked us up. We are surprised at such a low gas price. Was it a special promotion?
ReplyDeleteOur gas prices are closer to $2.75 per gallon. What a good deal!
ReplyDeleteBwahahahahahaha on the fruitcake. My mother made delicious fruitcake. It's the only fruitcake I've ever liked.
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the gasoline. I live in California. We pay way more than that.

ReplyDeleteI happen to like fruitcake, especially with a really good cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteOur gas is currently at $2.319, not bad. Mom says she must be a fruitcake because she actually enjoys a cup of hot tea and a slice of fruitcake:)

I don't know if that is good or bad for you. A US gallon would cost about $6 here.
ReplyDeleteLiving close to the coast helps keep the prices down.
