Today we join Two SPOILED CATS
Here is our inspiration
I'm 'just' old enough to remember
concession peeps.
Mostly I remember them during baseball games.
Up and down the stadium steps.
Hollering, ' Get your Popcorn, hot dogs,
roasted peanuts, candy, cold drinks in cups.'
How did they do that?
There must have been a wee man stowed
in the tray
Busy cooking up everything under the rainbow.
wish we had this still today... I would like to get snacks every day... maybe that's an idea for the darned lockdown time?
ReplyDeleteI remember them as ice cream ladies at children's Saturday morning movies.
ReplyDeleteI remember them from things at the Coliseum.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I don't remember ushers/usherettes in movie theaters but DEFINITELY at ballgames. It was such a treat to get something from them....!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
I don't remember them in movie theaters but they were at baseball games!
ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely remember them at baseball games but not at the movies. I loved baseball game hot dogs. Haven't had one in years.

ReplyDeleteOh they were in our cinemas in my childhood (never attended sports matches so don't know about that). YAM xx
I am old enough to remember them, but never came in contact with one other than in movies or TV shows. we never went to places that would have them..
ReplyDeleteMom remembers them too!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
What a great poem. Our mom says she never saw them at a theater either but did see them at sporting events.
ReplyDeleteI have seen some selling ice cream during the break in a film. Now the cinemas aren't even open!

Well done on the poem. It was a simpler time, but a good time nonetheless. This is one of the reasons why.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Thankful Thursday, honey. Big hug. ♥
I remember them when they said, "Cigars? Cigarettes?"
ReplyDeleteThat was a cute poem. XO
ReplyDeleteThat was a terrific poem and I remember them too!
ReplyDeleteWe still got the guys and ladies delivering food in the stands in Canada! (at least they were before covid) but I had never seen them in a theater! I LOVE your poem and thanks for stopping by, We hope you have a marvellously happy day!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind being the man in the box, but not in the freezer
