Photo from my friend and roving photo journalist, Janice. Her niece in Burlington, NC (about 50 miles west of Raleigh)sent her this photo of a deer she often sees in her yard. At first glance, I thought the deer had his back right foot lifted.
Janice told me the deer's foot is missing. An animals ability to
adjust is Awww inspiring.
Thank you to our
So I enlarged it. The deer is in mid step but OMCs when I enlarged it my mind's eye saw....this do you see it?
In case you didn't already know, my mind's eye always has a part-ee in progress.
I'm afraid the red deer living in abundance in the Torridon area didn't get the memo about looking both ways before you cross the road! Hence they are the most common cause of car accidents in the area in winter when they come down from the hills.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
we like that advice... and yes we can see da arrow too... maybe it has a special meaning?
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeletehmmm not sure I see what you see, but that doesn't mean it doesn' exist! YAM xx
i don't see what you see, but usually don't. you are so right, animals just amaze me how they adjust to just about anything. sad but happy feeling looking at the sweet deer
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing an arrow, not the red one. I think the advice from the deer is wise!
ReplyDeleteAwww, I'm so glad it survived whatever befell it. So precious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug. ♥
Those deer can live with some really bad injuries. We've seen several here that were still up and going despite whatever happened to them.
ReplyDeleteThat deer gave some really good advice.
ReplyDeleteThat is great advice from the deer. That is quite an injury for a deer to survive.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful Spark from the most beautiful deer!
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in the mountains of northern California on 10 acres we saw lots of deer and enjoyed their company. It was always so sad when one would get injured or worse by cars. Look both ways and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGreat sparks. I love seeing deer, they are such beautiful creatures. XO
ReplyDeleteWe've never seen a three-legged deer before! (And we do see that face on the side.) We have a lot of deer around these parts, and we have to be very careful driving at night because of them.
ReplyDeleteWe feel so sad for the deer. In our neighborhood, we don't think she'd do too well with all of the wildlife. They're so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy to see the deer living a normal, carefree life!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful deer related post, I just love deer!
ReplyDeleteAnimals adapt to their injuries so much better than humans can.
ReplyDeleteDeers are awesome and they teach us so much
ReplyDeleteLove the SPARK......and that deer missing part of its' leg is amazing - it's carrying on even though something happened to it either at birth, or courtesy of a trap, or a hunter. Life has gone on for this deer and THAT is most inspirational.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Great spark and we have lots of dear deer around here! Say that five times after three martinis MOL. Kind of see that cat but... Eyes are not what they were!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same, such as picture of things in the clouds. And yes, I do see the big cat's face! I feel bad for the deer, guessing it may have been a bear trap that snapped off that foot.
