Thank you to our
This photo was taken the same day I took yesterday's photo.
On my walks I am always looking for unusual things to share. I probably should be paying more attention to my feet, so I don't trip.
I said a big Awww when, my mind's eye saw this beautiful chimney and fan windows and then the red star. This neighborhood is a few blocks from us. Maybe the residents of this home are originally from Texas
It looks like it is smiling!
ReplyDeleteLove the fan windows - what a nice compliment to that fireplace bumpout.....Looking up at the stars is inspiring for sure!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
If this house was clapboard, it'd be close to resembling the house from Amityville Horror.
ReplyDeleteThe stars are much prettier ...
ReplyDeleteToo much brickwork for me, but I was pleased to see the horseshoe around the star was facing upwards. So many people put them facing down and that will let your luck fall out.
ReplyDeleteLove the windows and your Spark is True... I will take the view of the stars!
ReplyDeleteHari Om
ReplyDeleteFace-like... I understand why it caught your mind's eye!!! YAM xx
Oh gosh I couldn't tell that was a horse shoe until someone mentioned it here! Love the windows and if I had been consulted, :-) I wouldda put the star a little higher!
ReplyDeleteyou know that tiny horseshoe with star in that huge expand of bricks is messing with my OCD ME.. LOL maybe they moved there from Texas? or they own horses? I did take the time to google search and it seems red horsehoes mean the gift of love and wealth. I did find one just like this for sale for 52.50 if you want one for your house. wow they have a lot of this type on etsy
ReplyDeleteWe didn't realize it was a horseshoe at first!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is very pretty. XO
ReplyDeleteI like to look for interesting things when I walk as well. Sometimes I don't see anything that jumps out at me. But, we had windows like that on each side of our fireplace in the house I grew up in, so your picture brought back nice memories. Maybe they're horsey people and not necessarily from Texas...hard to know. Maybe one day in your walks someone will be outside working in the yard or something and you'll be able to ask.
ReplyDeleteI love going on walks with you. You share some very interesting homes, gardens, kitties and pups. I love that Spark. It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hugs, my friend. ♥
Fun and creative house and photo ~ great spark too ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you peace and love in all your days,

We're glad you didn't trip when looking up at that chimney.
ReplyDeleteI almost see a little face (eyes=windows and star/horse shoe =nose mouth)!
ReplyDeleteA great awwwww and spark today(from someone who also looks everywhere but her feet when she goes for walks BOL)
what a great capture! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteLove the fan windows and the spark is very true.
ReplyDeleteI love the vibe of this post! I'm a big believer in to keep looking up - And not to look back, because I'm not going that way! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteDidn't see this listed when I looked up Texas emblems, symbols, etc. However, both the five pointed star wards off evil spirits and the horseshoe brings good luck!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cute chimney face!
ReplyDeleteAw, yes. Maybe from TX. Praying for Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteHootin' Anni said exactly what dad said when he saw this picture. His first though was "The Amityville Horror".
ReplyDeleteThe decoration on the chimney makes it.
