Madi discussing her least favorite things in N.C.
Just the other day, as I was watching birds contemplating Einstein's
theory on relativity, when out of nowhere a good old fashion Southern thunderstorm starting a brewin'.
It was time for me to seek shelter and safety. I've found the best place to ride out a storm is on the steps. WHY?
If the creek starts to rise, I can head up the stairs.
If the creek starts to rise, I can head up the stairs.
If the thunder gets too loud, I'll get under the bed
I really do not like thunder!!
I really do not like thunder!!
Madi giving her best fraidy cat look WHERE DO YOU ALL GO WHEN THE HEAVENS OPEN AND THE THUNDER STARTS TO RUMBLE? |
that's a very smart advice with the stairs.. thanks to diva madi.... we love the heron, they are such beautiful berds...
ReplyDeleteNobby has not yet encountered thunder and lightening and so I don't know how he'll react. Bertie never show any concern at all, but in general Nobby is much more reactive to loud noises than Bertie was, so I suspect he'll be different. Fortunately, thunderstorms are a relatively rare event in Northern Scotland, and much less ferocious than those experienced many parts of the USA.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.

ReplyDeleteLovely heron captures!... and Madi was wise... YAM xx
Beautiful photo with the Heron and Mallards. Me, I'm not bothered much by thunderstorms. In fact, not much bothers me that way. There's what sounds like a massive pack of dogs across the road from us and their near-constant yelping echos across the road and I couldn't give two rats' a**es about that even. Have a wonderfull weekend. We're off for a bit.
ReplyDeleteLove the herons! They are so majestic and beautiful. I sit in my easy chair so that Molly can hang out on my lap if she doesn't head to the bath tub first.
ReplyDeleteI go to my craft room or take it easy in my recliner and watch some TV. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteMost of us are scared of thunder, so storms are a nightmare for Mom. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteWe head for the lanai! If the lightning gets too frightful we come inside and watch from the sliders. Nice to see Mr. GBH... pretty picture. Good Morning! Our Z Cat followed Madi's plans :)
ReplyDeleteout of six canines in our 38 years together, two cared not a whit about storms, 3 went crazy and wanted lap time with daddy, and the 6th at the first raindrop or boom, headed for her condo, also known as walk in closet, and went to the back and did not come out until the last rain drop fell... it is so good to see and remember sweet Madi. I love seeing her watching bird TV
ReplyDeleteMadi was most adorable. Very wise too.
ReplyDeleteTo the window to watch the storm. I remember my son being afraid and I took him out to the porch to watch the storm. He was never afraid after that. I've never known a cat or pup that liked storms.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hugs. ♥
Have a realy awsome weekend
ReplyDeleteAwww...it's always so nice to see Angel Madi!
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi had the right idea - if I hear thunder I run for the basement and get under the basement stairs. Even if I'm with my Mom and Dad at the time, the rumble of thunder is enough to send me running!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
What great pictures of the heron and mallards. We don't mind the thunder and sometimes just bark at it but we don't exactly like going out to do our "business" when it's raining really hard.
ReplyDeleteCool photos! Awww, Angel Madi, we never like those thunder boomers either.
ReplyDeleteOh Angel Madi we do NOT like loud cracks of thunder or lightening either! EEK!!!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing Angel Madi. XO
ReplyDeleteOh my, what lovely heron pictures C!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Angel MAdi, we have learned they have thunderstorms here in New Mexico...We have heard rumbles of thunder, and so far no fraidy dogs!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Sunny
Wow ! You got really close to that heron !
ReplyDeleteAround here the indoor kitties just stay near the human. The outdoor kitties have places to hide in the garage.
It is always nice to see AngelMadi.
Madi I start by getting under the dining table and then...UTB!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat heron photos! Thunder doesn't bother me, but I hate loud metal noises.
ReplyDeleteMadi I always love rereading your wise words.
ReplyDeleteMadi photos are precious and adorable ~ lovely nature photos too ~ Xo
