Happy Tasty Tuesday and Reminder FFF

Thank you to our

 Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Recently, we met my G, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, K,
at
Our orders were taken.  You an either have soup or salad as an appetizer.
We all selected salad.
Then Chef Nelson appeared with is cart full of ingredients to make us a delicious lunch
  HAPPY TASTY MEAL
It was prepared at a cook top with diners sitting around the cook top
I ordered chicken hibachi, my husband steak and shrimp hibachi,
G ordered steak hibachi, K ordered veggie hibachi.

Shortly after the veggies were added to the cook top Chef Nelson said
now here comes the FIRE!!  The entire meal is about delicious food prepared with a lot of HAPPY entertainment.. I intended to take more photos, however, the Dining area directly behind him quickly filled up too.
I thought it best not to take photos then.
He had a funny fire extinguisher, he called Japanese fireman, who instantly peepee'd water on the fire.

Mad Snapper this is for you.  I know how much you love 'fire'!

Chef Nelson did so many things to entertain...the rice was quickly made into a heart shape, he used soy sauce to make a happy face.  The balanced a egg on 2 spatulas, moving the egg from one to another w/o dropping.  Then he used a spatula to perfectly crack to mix with the rice.

This photo from WW last week was taken at Kanai

  2. I love the Japanese restaurants. When we have been in the US we used to go to the Benihana restaurants and be amazed at their knife skills. I think there may be one or possibly two in England but they are both in London.

This is what the Japanese actually call teppanyaki... I had to look up hibachi and find that this term is used only in the States. It's a wonderful culinary theatre and I am glad you enjoyed the experience! (When I saw the cranes last week I thought maybe Chinese, so I was close!) YAM xx

  5. We keep reminding ourselves NOT to visit when "tasty" is in headline, then we keep forgetting and wind up visiting ... oh dear, it's early morning, and tummy is a-rumbling ...

  6. Mom spent a lot of time outside of Tokyo when she was flying. They would eat at the little hole in the wall places where the cooked right in front of you. It was always great food and fun to watch. She was not a big fan of anything in Asia, but those were good places to get real Japanese food.

  8. I met Brenda and Zoie the week before Z went back to school. We went to a hibachi grill. The chef heard Z say she was afraid of the fire so he didn't do the choo choo train with onions (a smoke stack set on fire).

We were the only ones he was serving at that grill so we talked a lot to him.
