Wordless (kinda) Wednesday

Thank you to our Hostess

Sandee at Comedy Plus

I apologize for the words...just a wee explanation on the photos.

These photos were taken at about 6:45 pm on November 5, 2024. As I walked up our drive way from the mailbox. Our mail used to arrive between 1 and 4 pm.  Now we are lucky if it arrives before we go to bed.

Good news the late arrival was after our landscape lighting came on.
This is our Red maple.  Only about 1/2 of the tree is shown it is huge. The leaves hang on til December sometimes January.

This is our Forest Pansy aka a variety of Red Bud.  The leaves on this tree are the first to start fall each year.  I don't take many photos at night.  I loved how the clouds appeared and the grass was a rich emerald green.

  5. It's a beautiful night time scene. How odd that your mail comes so late.

  6. What is up with the mail. Ours started getting delivered so late that I bought mailbox alarms for the mailbox and our package box.

  7. The lighting is amazing, so lovely! I'll echo the weird delivery time for your mail, but maybe they are short staffed and swamped. Our postal strike (🇨🇦) continues, about 4 weeks now and no end in sight.

  9. You caught that scene just perfect. I'm like you I'm not usually out after Dark. There are things we miss by being inside.

  10. The last photo is a real three in one scene. It could be almost any season with those photos.

  11. That second photo is a great shot. It's beautiful with the sky and clouds. The Red Maple is impressive too. Our mail can arrive any time of the day and sometimes not at all. We have the USPS digest that tells what is coming but nothing reliable about the delivery.

  12. cee…how cool is that maple. 😺😺‼️‼️ they are long gone here, last of the leaves picked up and hauled to where ever the city takes them 🙀

  15. Those are cool night pictures. Our mail used to come late and with a 350 foot long, unlit driveway it wasn't very good especially in the winter. The past few years we've had a new mailperson and she typically comes before noon.

  22. That lighting is phenomenal! Our mail is always late, late, late during December. I know a 16 year old whose Dad is a mailman. He is gone when his son gets up and comes home after his son goes to bed. It's a rough time of year for mail carriers.
