We have taken friends to beaches and fishing villages close by to us. We repeatedly warn about the gulls, but they still end up getting food and ice creams stolen. You have to eat outdoors as if you are guarding the Crown jewels in your hands.
Hari OM Heheh, don't get between Miss C and her cone!!!
I have to say, where I have been staying, the gulls have been quite friendly and respectful, but I do know there are some places where that's not the case... partly because folk initially attracted them by thinking it cool to feed the birdies... YAM xx
Cute poem for a silly goal. Can you believe that they are here in Northern Ohio 100 miles from Lake Erie. Some days you can't even get into a parking lot without a cloud of them lifting off.
The gulls on the beach that we go to the most are not aggressive. But we have been to other beaches where they dive right down and take the paper plate off the table. Kinda funny :) They make another quick dive and get the FOOD! Yes, those gulls better not mess with your ice cream, C!
I see Kit, Kat, Rocky and Cali have been to my hometown beach of Tybee Island. that is where I spent all my time in the sun building up skin cancers to be removed in my second child hood. LOL... never seen one with ice cream but have seen them with french fries
Sneaky birds......I remember when I lived in Florida years ago we couldn't ever leave something on our blanket when we went for a swim in the ocean - the gulls would take sunglasses, money - WHATEVER was there! I bet they have a "used beach equipment" shop somewhere!!
Once a goose, who can be as aggressive or even more so than gulls, stole a cookie right out of my 18 month old's little hand...at least the cookie was long enough that no harm came to his fingers... We don't live on any shore, but there sure are a lot of gulls around here, looking for freeloads at trash cans, etc.
Please leave a meow or bark for Angel Madi...her assistant (aka Mom) will respond in a timely fashion. =^..^= Life is short, spend it with those who make you laugh!! “Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.” (Leo F. Buscaglia) TONS OF HUGS

I like it! Although I wonder how you would get back at a robber who can fly.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a seagull try to steal food from me. But I've rarely been anywhere that has seagulls!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't think of messing with your ice cream

Oh no, I have enough bad chickens here and don't need any bad birds to go with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm leaving laughing again. Thanks for the chuckles :) Sending hugs!
