For a very thoughtful and kind neighbor, Jane
Recently she texted to ask if I had piereced ears.
(I giggled a bit I've known her 30 years...I guess she never noticed my ears)
I replied yes, she said her sister in law gave her these Napier silver pierced earrings.
She said, I only wear gold. If you like them, they are YOURS.
Her sister in law lives out of state I guess she doesn't see Jane enough to know her preference.
WIN WIN for me.
I SAID absolutely, I wear silver, white gold or yellow gold. thank you.

ReplyDeleteLove the poem and I can relate to how that dog feels with the heat we've had here.. At least I don't have to worry about cats pouncing on bits and pieces though...lol

ReplyDeleteYou have a very dear neighbor :) I don't have pierced ears but I converted a few. I love silver and even have a white gold wedding band so I guess you can see where my tastes lie. It's so funny but my niece is the same way. I found this out years later. That was a very cute poem you wrote and the photo of the pup was a hoot!
ReplyDeleteOh delightful gift ~ and fun poem with the doggie ~ Hugs ^_^
ReplyDeleteSweaty and smelly... ick. I think I had enough of that with horses. Although I loved their smell. Your neighbor, it's nice she thought of you.

That was sweet of her. XO
ReplyDeleteCute poem, even if...OUCH!
ReplyDeleteAm the only sibling with pierced ears, so I inherited my grandmother's jewelry.
When I win the lottery...note to self: play the lottery...I'll get her stuff reset so they are more comfortable.
Those are lovely earrings.
ReplyDeleteYour poem made me giggle and wince.
This was one of those poems where everyone has a different take on it. I really enjoyed yours, too. And way to go on the earrlings!
