Our Beautiful Moment 

I am not a lap cat never have been, never will be...

but I do like to sit by Mom especially when she comes down to

my level the floor like she did recently.

 She had the flashy beast with her

 and even managed to snap some artsy 

and downright sweet/beautiful moment photos

with her left paw

 so that she could show you what I am is

 an arm pit cat 

Thank goodness the old girl was in a comfy position 'cause we

stayed like this for some time.  
THIS WAS A MOST BEAUTIFUL MOMENT

Mom says let sleeping cats be, well except, when she wants a photo.

Last week we featured an an instrumental, Strangers on the Shore, a clarinet instrumental by Mr. Acker Bilk.  Lo and behold is was well received.  Our friend, Declan, the Greyhound, told us that
his Grandpa's all time favorite clarinet instrumental was Let's Dance by Benny Goodman Band. When we went over to visit Deccy on May 31, we found out it was Deccy's 5th Barkday.  Deccy never met his Grandpa but his Mum told him Grandpa would have loved Deccy very much.

Whisker Humps on Hump Day

Mom thinks my whisker humps are so soft.

She likes to rub them but sometimes she just gets carried away and I have to give my 'that is enough stare'!!

We had an unexpected visitor on Sunday....
In case you cannot see the picture is is a Gray Fox...Mom has tried everything she knows how to do to get it to load.  When she sends it as an attachment to an email it is fine but what we see here is just horizontal colored stripes. If you click on the picture, it will appear.  Anyway the Gray Fox is native to NC.  Mom has  had several sightings over the last 2 weeks; however, Sunday it nearly came up on the porch to say hi.  According to what we read
it can climb a tree too.  Mom said it jumped over the neighbors fence just like a cat.  MOL 

On Sunday it was chasing birds in our yard.  Mom expects it has some pups in the woods behind our neighbor's house.

TUESDAY TALE: TREASURES

WARNING:  

I am going to tell a tale....get comfy, grab a beverage and some foodables!!  Just Sayin'

Once upon a time a long, long, long ago before Mom retired she  used to wear dresses had a dress.  She decided to she didn't like the dress any more but she did like a piece of *pendant that came on the dress.  She cut if off the dress and forgot about it stored it away.  Then one day she said to herself (she does that a lot), I ask 

Kathy, our most talented friend, if she could make me a necklace out of it.  Upon receiving the picture, Kathy said yes indeedy she thought she could so we mailed it to her way out in O-Re-Gon.

Fast forward a few weeks and lo and be hold Kathy had come up with a way to make it into a necklace AND  she made earrings and a bracelet too.  Fast forward to June 1...not** Earl our mailman 
delivered a package and OMF (oh my friends) I helped Mom
open it.   Kathy good idea to  including 'instructions' in the package 'cause sometimes Mom is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. 

With the help of my cat  eyes she was able to properly assemble the

pendant onto the gorgeous black crystal beads.

BUT then she held it up to my face and I said 

gimme Mom that is mine.

Mom that is simply gorgeous let me look a little closer

I became mesmerized  by the shiny beads and the pendant as it swayed back and forth.  I do wish I liked to wear collars because 

Kathy also makes collars for puppies and kitties.

But alas I don't so I'll just admire all of Mom's jewelry 

hand made by Kathy.

FYI:  Kathy told Mom she didn't have light colored beads that matched the pendant.  Being the clever lady that she is, Kathy soaked the light beads in tea until they took on the same bone color as Mom's pendant. FYI: they are a purrfect match!!
