Dear Auntie HiC,
The peeps took a leaf peeping ride to Brasstown Bald on November 4, 2025.
Brasstown Bald, elevation 4,784 feet, is the highest point in Georgia, and about 30 minutes from our property.
It’s located in the Blue Ridge Mountains within the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests. On a clear day you can see parts of Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Years ago, Mom hiked to the observation deck, but her aching back prevented them from continuing beyond the parking lot.
The colors had reached their peak at that elevation, and the best view of the day was coming up our driveway! 😹
We were happy to stay home❣️

that is wonderful to watch all this wonderful fall colors from this tower...
ReplyDeleteHiking is fun in the autumn and the leaves are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI bet that's a spectacular view from the top of that hill.
ReplyDeleteThat is one long driveway but I enjoyed the ride. It reminds of the driveway going to the groomer that Gibbs goes to.
What a shame you couldn't do some hiking, but back pain is really a bad thing. Such a pretty area and the leaves look great too!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing trip your mom and dad took. But I bet you were thrilled when they came home. It would have been fun to climb to the top of that hill but only if I was a cat instead of a human. And how did any of you kitties make it up that long driveway to go live with your mom and dad.

The autumn colours were worth the jaunt, but you're right, the best are along your driveway! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteCali, I'm sure your brothers worship you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful ride up your driveway...all those gorgeous fall colors!!
ReplyDeleteIt is almost as pretty as you three!

What beautiful fall color they have down there. You kitties sure look relaxed and happy to hang out at home.
ReplyDeleteI wish it was our driveway, except I need to know how cold it gets and if it snows. that would be the deal breaker, but would love it in summer and fall. the princess and her court... ha ha on males I waiting.
ReplyDeleteforgot to say, never heard of BrasstownBald, but just checked and my oldest son lives in Coppertown Tn which is 45 miles from Brasstown
