Today we join
Angel Sammy and brudder Teddy
Summer time
and the living is easy
we cool off by
floating the hours away in the shade.
Summer time
floating makes us queasy
best fix is to dangle your
paws in the water
Be sure to keep your nose in the
Air bubbles in your throat
will cause you lots ot
TROUBLE.
My thankful today is also about water.
Our area has been in a severe drought all year.
On Sunday July 5, we welcomed a thunder boomer dropping 1" of rain...not much but every drop is precious. Then Monday, July 6 at 6 pm, had a monster of a storm
Mariah the wind, Matilda the queen of rain Daning and Mother Nature all had a PARtee
leaving 3.5" of rain in 4 hours. WooHoo.
Tuesday, July 7 the triple M's returned for an encore
We had another 1" of liquid gold
total since Sunday 5.8" triple WooHoo

ooh we love the poem.. the mama sang it to us... to the old tunes... now we can not wait for fall hahahah

ReplyDeleteOne of my all-time fave songs, repurposed pawfeckly! And yay for drought-breaking skyfall! YAM xx
First of all that poem is FABULOUS! Second of all we have been hoping and praying for rain for weeks now....they keep it in the forecast but it never gets here. We are DRY as a bone. We remain hopeful but are getting sad for the wildlife and greenery.
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs, Pam and Teddy
The picture reminds me of the dog I had before Gibbs. He loved the pool. If you turned you back on him he would go in all on his own. As soon as one of those rafts would float in close enough he was on it and in his glory.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting some rain that you need down there. We have needed rain too but not at badly as you. So far this summer we have gotten a lot of it and things are really nice and green.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got the rain that is much needed. I must say it probably would have been a little better if it would have stretched out over three or four days and possibly soaked in a bit deeper. But when you're in a drought you take every drop you can get. I enjoyed the poem and that's a cute photo.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the rain. We need a little too, but don't want the kind that does damage.
ReplyDeleteLinda poesia e que a chuva venha, mas sem fazer danos! beijos, chica
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We also received rain on 3 and 5 July. A little over 3" we will take it! So happy you got some rain! Enjoyed your poem!
ReplyDeleteNo need to toss those two a life-ring, but some water toys would be fun ... yay for rain, we also got a goodly amount, thankfully!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE your poem and we got rain too but not as much as you did. I bet you are still hearing the sounds of lawn mowers!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun pup poem! Excellent thankful, we need rain too! Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteYay for rain!!!! Can you send it our way please??
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggle too, what a great poem!

ReplyDeleteThat's a great poem for that picture. Rain in a time of drought is always something to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteBruce got a decent amount too. You guys had to have shared the same system. You aren't that far apart.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture & poem! Lucky pups to have a pool to keep them cool! You know I’m jealous about your rain, but happy you received some❣️
ReplyDeleteExcellent poem. Glad you are getting rain. XO
ReplyDeleteSummertime...good take on the pic! And laughed at "floating makes me queasy."
ReplyDeleteYour poem made me smile. I’m praying you continue to get rain (although not monster storms).
