The 3 photos of the same sculpture made me smile
It could be so many things.

Blooper alert: This was supposed to be a photo of
"Large Standing Figure"...
Evidently I forgot to snap the sculpture; no worries
I captured 2 large standing shadows.

What interesting sculptures!
ReplyDeleteWe love the reflecting pool and sculpture, but are deeply shocked that you failed to include Henry Moore's 'Large Standing Figure' in your photo. Gail tells me that her Granny went to school in Castleford, Yorkshire with Henry Moore, and apparently he was known there for his appreciation of the shape of girls' calves.(Although I am not sure that I believe that story!)

ReplyDeletei am not a huge fan of abstract art, but some of these appeal to me, the one you took 3 views of I like, it somehow makes me think of the sea and dolphins.. it is a beautiful place. the 3 red lines looks like a fancy cell tower.. maybe they could make sculptures instead of ugly cell towers.

ReplyDeleteI picked 'fish' before I read your commentary. Once years ago while in the Art Gallery I saw a small 3-legged stool hanging from the ceiling. It was an artistic friend who said the 'art' was the shadow....

The Abstract Fish are pretty cool, but the statue in the Roden garden is just plain creepy.
