Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #244

Any of you who have been around a long time, will remember Angel Madi had a nickname for me

The Old Gray Mare aka TOGM.

Today TOGM is very thankful for all you lovely birthday wishes on my blog yesterday, my ecards, and email wishes.  All were so very special just like the senders.

I had a lovely birthday.  It was 71 degrees and full sun in JANUARY no less. Bryan did things up right too, A beautiful necklace. We ordered take out from Outback for supper and had chocolate truffles for dessert.

I made a collage of the snail mail cards from blogging friends too

The Penquin card was from my crew in Georgia
Their Dad, David, sent me a text he sung happy birthday to me...
OMCs I wish you could have heard it.  He has a lovely voice.

INSIDE ON THE LEFT THEY WROTE:
SOMETHING ABOUT MS. PENQUIN REMNDED OF YOU?
MOL MOL must have been all the red accessories.
Auntie HiC would love a red purse like that.

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at

This week's photo challenge

One and 50 snowmen outstanding in a field
along comes (the wind they call) Mariah
who is full of hot air
She huffs and she puffs and they all fall down
No longer can they be seen standing out in the field.

  7. helpless laughter on the poem. so very fitting. love it. I like the red purse too. my grandmother only had RED purses and two pairs of red shoes. she had to wear white uniforms and white shoes with white hose at the hospital she worked in. for off work she wore RED.. thanks for the idea about the take out you had, will be trying that for Bob...
