But Robert Frost could be describing Aberdeen. This exquisite poem should be better known here! The notion that the fog comes on little cat feet might help the citizens of this too often fog bound city look more favourably on an unloved local climate phenomenon. (Gail says she used to work in an office overlooking the harbour and often watched the fog advancing and retreating over the ships). Toodle pip! Bertie. PS Human Granny always goes round quoting Keats at this time of year. "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" etc.
I so agree, if the fog approaches he comes as soft as velvet... or as cat feet. that is a super poem, well done Mr. Frost. And that poem is much better than the darned fog-movie by John Carpenter what brought nightmares to my momma for months.
I like that poem, very apropos! We have lots of fog living near the beach and it sneaks in like quiet cat feet! One minute sunny and the next minute it quietly gets dark out. Hugs and nose taps Kathy and Molly
