zoo, zing, zipper and zap
In the zoo there is lots of poo.
The keepers are quick zap
it with a shovel or a 10' pole.
Sometimes they sing all the day long.
Their zing for their work is obvious.
Their friends and family threaten to get
a zipper for their mouth.
Since you have been so very attentive and complimentary our our
poems, we leave you on this Z day with
a cute little critter from the Munich Zoo.
Mom is in love!
Pallas Cat!! not Palace Cat mol mol
OMCs, if I was a fighter not a lover, I could probably take this critter down. It only weighs between 5.5 and 9.9 lbs. I could squash it by sitting on it.
Today is the last day of letter inspired Poetry.
Their friends and family threaten to get
a zipper for their mouth.
Since you have been so very attentive and complimentary our our
poems, we leave you on this Z day with
a cute little critter from the Munich Zoo.
Mom is in love!
Pallas Cat!! not Palace Cat mol mol
The Pallas's cat (Otocolobus manul), also called manul, is a small wild cat with a broad but fragmented distribution in the grasslands and montane steppes of Central Asia. It is negatively affected by habitat degradation, prey base decline, and hunting, and has therefore been classified as Near Threatened by IUCN since 2002.[1]
The Pallas's cat was named after the German naturalist Peter Simon Pallas, who first described the cat in 1776 under the binomial Felis manul.[2]
Starting next week our challenge, should we decide to accept it...is to find a photo of our own or anywhere that inspires us to write a poem. Guess what we two seniors love a
CHALLENGE!! We accept
Today I have my 6 month Senior Check up at 3 PM
Mom is really interested to see how much weight I have gained since
all this mess started in June. We expect there will also be
some blood letting to check my kidney values.
As always, we'll give you the news fair and unbiased.
We gals keep it real here!!
Not sure zookeepers are that quick to clean animal areas....MOL! That sure is a cute kitty. Probably scratch our faces off though...
ReplyDeleteI love this poem... and maybe the zoo guys can get some buttons for their noses too... but the people say the nose is "bullet proof" and can ignore the smell after working there for years ;o) the little pallas cat is super cute... and I hope there is way to protect this species... it would be sad if we once will see it only in books or videos of the past...
ReplyDeleteWow, I am about the same size as a Pallas cat! I'm just 7 lbs. My human loves them too.
ReplyDeleteMadi, as a scientist I feel obliged to provide a reality check on your poetic creations. Let's see now, how many humans whose job mostly involves picking up poo go to work with a zing?
ReplyDeleteJust asking.
Best of luck at vet today. Paws (very clean ones) crossed for encouraging results.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Gail and I are thrilled that you're taking up the new poetry challenge!
Luv da Pallas cat!

ReplyDeleteWe loved you poem and the Pallas's cat is to cute. Our paws are crossed for a good report from the vet.

ReplyDeleteGood luck with the check-up! We are keeping all our fingers and paws crossed for good results.
ReplyDeleteThat is one pretty cat, although I don't think it would like to sit on my lap. I think I will ask Miss Oswin instead.

Great ZZZZZZZ poem, Madi. We have a zoo here in KC, and we wonder what they do in the winter when most of the animals have to be kept inside the buildings - we sure wouldn't want to have to deal with THAT job:)
