Dad was out doing Dad Stuff in the yard last Friday.
He came to the back porch to show mom what he found in our side yard.
He found it exactly as pictured with the string tied on both ends...Jumpin' Catfish
What in the world....at first mom thought a Zucchini. Aunty Mona who grows lots of
veggies said she'd have to cut it open to be sure but she thinks it is some type of Asian veggie.
Any guesses from you all?
When I saw it, I was 'floored'!!! MOLMOL a little feline humor
My eyes rolled back in my head
then I decided to close my eyes and hope it was just a dream!!
oh maybe it is a kind of self-defense tool? our legionary neighbor said you can use even a cucumber to knock someone out if you are in danger ;O)))
ReplyDeleteWell, that was a strange find!
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's a cucumber handbag? Not sure what you could carry in it though, some kitty treats maybe?

It looks like one of those english cucs that mom comes home with from the grocery store. I love cucs! Give it a try, Madi!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some kind of cucumber that someone must have been using for a weapon. You all have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDelete...you thought the strangeness was in the fruit? Really?? The string brought no curiosity???
Seriously though, from this picture alone it could be one of several varieties; as some have mentioned, telegraph (English) cucumber, bottle gourd (underwatered as it is very thin), some kind of marrow... cutting into it would be the definitive diagnosis! hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Is it a bow for a bow and arrow set?
ReplyDelete'cos really you should use seasoned not green wood for the front bit

the thing is the first question for me is why it has a string on it, who tied it there and of course WHAT it is... have no idea. not a cuke, not a zuchinni, hummmmmm… cliffhanger. your furs look so pretty in the sunshine... ha ha on the rolling of your eyes while 'floored'
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a ninja cucumber to me!
ReplyDeletehahaha, I still would have to cut it open to see the insides to maybe figure out what it is.
ReplyDeleteWe got a new weird one yesterday at a fruit stand. The guy gave it to me. He had a bunch and I guess he figured they were not going to sell.
He said it was a banana muskmelon. I asked him if it was sweet. He shook his head no. He said it kinda smelled like a cantaloupe.
I told the hubby we would grow them and see if the deer would eat them.
It looks like a cucumber, but why would anyone tie string to it.
ReplyDeleteYou found somebody's pet cucumber!!!! HAHAHA
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Obviously it's the food supply of a health-conscious hobo.
ReplyDeleteUhh.... We got nothing?
ReplyDelete"Floored". Ha roo roo roo! That's a good one.
ReplyDeleteOK, I watch a lot of detective/mystery shows, and this is a great one! I'm thinking someone was taking a LOT of zukes ... or maybe cukes ... for a walk and had them all in harnesses like that. Easier to walk a lot of them if they're in harness. This one fell out of formation somehow. Maybe?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Zucchini! But why the string tied like a purse strap?
ReplyDeleteHmmm...best call a private investigator to unravel the mystery...
Hmmmmmmmmmm....the is quite the mystery Madi...we are going to nap on it to see if we can get any ideas!

I'm thinking a cucumber or zucchini? I know zucchinis can grow crazy big so maybe?? Whatever it is hope you get lots of yumminess from it. And Madi, don't worry I bet the peeps won't make you try any of it since kitties don't usually like veggies.
ReplyDeleteP.S.: No idea about that string!
ReplyDeleteA cucumber on a leash? We would be floored too!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
your guy Raz and The Florida Furkids
Hmmm, that looks like some sort of zombie cucumber to us. Or else an attempt to grow a Pinocchio nose:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Looks like a zucchini to me...unless it is a torpedo........or...maybe the Jolly Green giant was castrated? MOL MOL MOL!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a cucumber...but why is it on a string??
ReplyDeleteThe string tied on the whatever it is vegetable is quite puzzling!
ReplyDeletehugs

Looks like a big zucchini, but those are usually fatter. Did someone try to make it into a slingshot?
ReplyDeleteDid squirrels do that?
ReplyDeleteStrange. It's really a vegetable? Has anyone eaten it yet?
ReplyDeleteThat sure is weird! It looks like a zucchini to me too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like someone was getting creative in turning a veggie into a pretend gun or something like that. Much safer to shoot someone with a zucchini don't you think? BOL!
ReplyDeleteWoW! That is one kick butt...umm don't have a clue....
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE the shots of you Madi! You are beautiful!

You made some decent points there. I looked on the internet for the issue and found most individuals will go along with with your website.
