Nature Friday is hosted by my Niece Rosy and her brudders, Arty and Jakey
This and that nature from two trips
The bottom left was taken in the Cemetery in New Bern, NC
Others from out trip to Dobson, NC
Two kinds of Nature in our yard
Left: SomeCritter has been feasting our our Hostas. This ~2' pot sits on a stump on a hill adding about 8" to height. I hope we don't have rabbits tall enough to reach it.
Right: Liriope is just starting to bloom. I love this color of the blooms
What do you SPY??????
Brightened and zoomed now do you see it?
Sounds like deer. Sheesh. These critters just don't appreciate the beauty of nature! ;)
ReplyDeleteSnails will get everywhere and they just looooove hostas!

ReplyDeleteWonderful nature mosaics... and love the pan man! YAM xx
It seems there are a lot of critters around who see a hosta and think "yippee, lunch!"
ReplyDeleteI would hate to have to mow a lawn with those roots going everywhere. But, I love how they look.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Yup, some hungry animal found those hostas. They must have been tasty. You all have a fabuous day.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you served lunch to some critter!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
We see the TinMan! The exposed roots on that tree are so cool!
ReplyDeleteRabbits can stand on their little back footies and stretchhhhhhhhh! I love Liriope, it was the only plant we could keep alive :)
ReplyDeleteI see a tin man, but not sure if that is what you spied. could be rabbits, squirrels or deer... they all love to eat plants... LOVE THE ROOTS
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty places and pretty plants plus the Tin Man is so cool, is he Rin Tin Tin?
ReplyDeleteI see the Tin Man. Something found your plants tasty. I hope it wasn't the Tin Man paying you a visit!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we get slugs that eat the hostas like that. Or else a very hungry caterpillar.
ReplyDeleteOften when on vacation with friends, we visit a cemetery or two. They are peaceful places, usually with lovely gardening, and it's a good place for reflection and calm.
ReplyDeleteYes I see it and I love the nature collage. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend, my friend. Big hug. ♥

Great photos - I love liriope when it blooms too - that lavender is so pretty in contrast to the liriope foliage. I see the Tin Man but dressed up and showing himself off in that window. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Is that the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz? We think he should be set up in your yard to scare away the critters munching on your hostas:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You found lots of interesting nature this week.
ReplyDeleteWe see the Tin Man. Hope you don't have any tall bunnies in your garden!
ReplyDeleteI also love the colors of your Liriope, the color really pops along side of the tree!
ReplyDeleteI have grasshoppers. I HATE grasshoppers. I'm afraid of them on top of hating them. THEY eat EVERYTHING in my flower beds. Did I say I hate grasshoppers. Also there is nothing you can do other than kill them. The ones that are eating my plants are green, as green as the plants themselves. It is very hard to find grasshoppers to kill. *sigh* So I understand how you feel about having your plants eaten, that looks like my entire yard right now.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool tin man :) XO
ReplyDeleteOooooooh! What beautiful plants!!! Critters are always eatin' Ma's plants...lately it's been the tree rats comin' to looks for snacks in Ma's potted plants! She is none too happy!I hopes they are not nibblin' at your plants too! friggin' tree rats....
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
I think there is a tin man in that window and we do hope that those critters stop eating your plants
ReplyDeleteYou have such a green thumb! I spy a tin man in the window.
