Happy Tuesday

Last week I decided it was time to finish using the leftover jelly roll I bought with Rt. 66 on it and RV's.

I used it on two throws and a table runner

I had two churn dash blocks (the design on the front of each pillow) made that were collecting dust.
I had just enough 2 1/2" strips of the Rt.66 RV fabric to
make borders to go around the blocks.

I made two new throw pillows
The red fabric on the back of each was also fabric I found in my
'stash'.  The only thing I had to buy for this project was
a $10.00 bag of stuffing for the pillows.  Not patting myself on the
back but I think pillows like these in a store could easily
sale for $30.00 each.

I think they look nice on the deacons bench and the family room
couch. No quilting on the pillows since they are stuffed.

What a shame you've got a TROLL as your first comment. I LOVE your pillow covers, Miss C. You sure are getting nifty with the designs! YAM xx

  3. GORGEOUS! Really beautiful and congratulations for venturing into the world of pillows - they add SO MUCH anywhere they "land" and yours are really pretty. I have lots of pillows courtesy of my sister that grace various spots around the house. I think of her every time I see one.

  15. I wondered why you saved a jelly roll that long, then realized it was not the edible kind.. my mind always goes to FOOD... your home now says A Quilter Lives Here and says it well. Madi would love to lay on any of these. maybe not the pillows though. I love your deacons bench

  19. Not a criticism, mind you--but all the quilters I know have HUGE cupboards PACKED with fabric 'they might use one day'. Don't think you're supposed to use up leftover bits just save them...LOL! However love your efforts and the pillows!
