The NC Museum of Art is only about 4 miles from home.
Lo and behold we found another trial and some art...outstanding in the fields
Today I share one
here is the marker below this
At first glance it reminds me of Jacks a game I played as a child.
If you aren't as old as dirt, and have no clue what Jacks is, here is a photo of a set of Jacks
and ball.
and ball.
yes, you are right, it really is inspired by this game :O)
ReplyDeleteIf that artwork was in our area, someone would already be using it as makeshift gym equipment!

I beams as art...well, why not?
ReplyDeleteI adore BIG art; wish I had some for my yarden.
The photo on the top left looks a bit like that contraption in gymnastics: uneven bars. Mind you, this one would have to be for somebody with some big hands! Really big hands!

Art? Okay, looks like leftovers from a construction project to me...but it could be Jacks!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read Jacks I got it. I agree. Way cool.

Hate to admit it, but I played a lot of Jacks as a kid. And, yes it looks like those cheaper plastic ones that would break instead of the silver metal ones!
ReplyDeleteCool sculpture! I was wondering how old my granddaughter needs to be before she can learn to play jacks. It was one of my favorite games as a kid.
