We discovered the babbling brook in my header last week when we took
a side trail at Shelley Lake.

Vintage....
I am not exactly sure of the chairs age. It was at my parent's home for as
long as I can remember and as you can see well cared for.
Raggedy Ann and Andy were made for favorite sis of Angel Madi by my coworker
in the late 1970's.
we love the chair... we have one too what was in our crib as we bought it... and with anne and andy it gets something so special... a greeting from childhood ;O)
ReplyDeleteWe love brooks that babble!

ReplyDeleteWorthy new header, I'd say - and yes, I am definitely more vintage!!! YAM xx
We love ladderback chairs! They may not be the most comfy but they sure are cute. Your blog looks beautiful, Miss Cecilia!
ReplyDeleteI love the creek in your header. Your co-worker was talented.
ReplyDeleteLove the old vintage chair.
and all of the sayings are cute.
Beautiful header! I like these Sparks... kindness, yes. Vintage works for me :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Sparks and your well cared for chair that holds two precious dolls.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Cecelia. Big hug. ♥
Mom's Mom had a chair like that and a Raggedy Ann!

Terrific Sparks and that's a very cool chair.
ReplyDeleteCute chair and the dolls look happy sitting there! I like the quote about the Vintage. Around here everything I wear is vintage which means it's very very old including myself
ReplyDeleteEveryone is a limited edition; each of us are unique and the best representations of ourselves!
ReplyDeleteMemories: when my first baby arrived ('75) my choice was "all" Raggedy Ann and Andy for decorating her room! Today, a Raggedy Ann hand puppet from her crib is still the annual Christmas tree topper!
ReplyDeleteDad refinished a little child-sized rocking chair that belonged to GW since she was very little. He even re-caned the seat. It now belongs to little Lily.
ReplyDeleteYour sparks are true for GW, especially when she goes to work.
Love the chair and love the dolls. They seem to be guarding the chair well.
ReplyDeleteKlem
Those are great sparks! XO
ReplyDeletethat brook is awesome !!!! to live by it......just think ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteI remember those chairs. We had them around the dinner table when I was a child. They always left patterns on the back of your legs when you got up.
ReplyDeleteThat chair is exquisite. You would be hard pressed to find anything new today of that quality. We love those two Raggedy's.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That chair is in great shape. Those dolls are quite a treasure being made so long ago. We like your sayings and think they definitely apply to our mom. BOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful chair and adorable dolls!
ReplyDeleteSide trails are always the BEST!
ReplyDeleteLovely chair and dolls!
we prefer our brooks to be babbling
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree, I likes brooks that babble too! Or, should I say, Ma does..I, myself, have never heard a brook babble, so I can't rightly say.....☺
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
That chair is so pretty and it has been very well taken care of. I'm definitely more vintage than high fashion.
ReplyDeleteLove your Monday Sparks. You can see what kind of a week I've had since I am just now reading Monday's posts! (not bad, just extremely busy)
